Daily Inspiration: Meet Blotter Vision

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blotter Vision.

Hello Blotter Vision, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our story starts in early 2020 when “the world ended” and the Covid-19 pandemic struck. In order to stay sane Bill, Drew and Joey threw around some music ideas and talked about doing a new project, We wanted to be a fast, loud, fun punk rock band. We thought it would be cool to collaborate with people outside of our other bands.

At the time Bill was singing for All City Warning, Joey was playing bass for TV Tragedy and Drew was playing drums and doing lead vocals for Birth of Monsters. We were looking to do something different and unique that set us apart from the bands were already in. We also wanted to get out of our homes and play as members of some of those other bands we were currently playing with didn’t want to get together during the pandemic and went on a hiatus of sorts.

We eventually started jamming at Joey’s house as soon as we got all our ideas in order. Bill was on lead vocals, Joey on guitar and vocals, Drew on drums, and Danny from Bill’s other band All City Warning played bass. After a few months, Danny had to quit for personal reasons and we recruited Alfred who at the time was playing in No Year at the time. We basically spent the rest of lockdown time writing a bunch of songs. On October 13th, 2020, we released our first single, The 13th of October.

Since then we have ground and played a ton of local and out-of-town shows and recorded a few more singles. We have shared the stage with bands such as MDC, Reagan Youth, and Pears. As of right now we are writing tons of new songs and will be recording some more for you to hear soon. Be on the lookout for our newest single No Change which Drops on 4/1/2023.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Totally smooth. We are all homies and hang together constantly. The biggest struggle was the suspense of when we were going to play our first show because of the fact that we had to wait till the pandemic allowed that to happen.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Blotter Vision has been on the radio and in movies, working with stars such as Michelle Pfeiffer, Pauly Shore, Tim Robinson, and many more.
