Daily Inspiration: Meet Antonio Medina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio Medina.

Hi Antonio, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started photography back in 2009 with my very first camera the Nikon D7200 to mainly shoot photos for my business. I quickly realize there are so much to learn that it was overwhelming. Fast forward to 2016, I decided that photography would be my new career and invested heavily in my education and training.

I enjoy being around people and helping them capture their true personalities through photographs and videos. This lead me to specialize in Wedding Photography and Portraiture. Today, I am more than ever happier about helping people with meaningful and beautiful images that best tell their unique stories.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I learn really quickly the importance of having a contract and even today I am still updating that document to capture all the intricate aspects of my craft. My passion for visuals far exceeds the learning curves I encounter and I can’t wait to learn more about life and my craft.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have decided to specialize in Wedding Photography and Video Productions due to its versatility, rapid pace, and challenges. I believe Wedding Photography and Video Production is one of the unique specialties that involve most other types of Photography and Video Production.

During a wedding, Photographers are challenged in details photography, product photography, portrait, boudoir, family photography, sometimes pet photography, newborns photography, maternity photography, real estate photography, landscape photography, sports photography, drone photography, car photography, and so many other critical aspects of a wedding that must be captured to completely tell a story.

I use a mix of editorial and journalistic approach style in my photography with vibrant fashion photography esthetic. I am super happy to see my clients love their photographs and video so much they feel obligated to refer me to their friends. I love my clients.

I believe what sets me apart from other Photographers is my creativity and attention to detail. I do not hesitate to take advantage of a situation to turn it into a magical moment through my lenses and maximize my client’s emotions to reflect their personality.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Yes, after losing 95% of my clients due to Covid-19, it became clear that to survive in this business I needed to diversify my services and provide remote assistance to my clients.
