Today we’d like to introduce you to Annie F. Sharp and Holly F. Jones.
Hi Annie and Holly; please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It began as two sisters who always loved helping friends and family plan special events to celebrate life’s milestones. Then one day, we were allowed to buy a small yet blooming specialty rental business. We seized the chance and have continued building it into an ever-expanding, multi-faceted rental and event design company. Providing lifestyle rentals, event design, and specialized styling services to elevate any event!
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
Smooth? Well, heavy, long, and rewarding more accurately describe it. Let’s say we might have been a little pleasantly naive with stars in our eyes, thinking only of all the pretty things we would own and get to spread across events when we first dove into this crazy business venture! But boy are we glad we were; otherwise, we might not have taken the leap we needed to. We learned early on that the best finds must pass a lift test before purchasing them; the job isn’t just about how fun it is to find pretties. There are many behind-the-scenes that people need to see (although it is undoubtedly a job perk). That counting (and recounting) can be challenging. We are so glad we pushed ourselves over every hurdle and continue to learn and grow as we continue expanding our business.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Apart from being glorified furniture movers, our company is special because we are experience creators! Life’s moments are worth celebrating, both big and small. A lot of work might go into one evening for an event; however, the memories made and how people felt throughout that event last far longer. We work tirelessly to accomplish this for all our clients, whether that be a special sofa for guests to sit and converse or onboarding us for full design and styling of the event. An essential part of our jobs is to allow our creative minds to focus primarily on the aesthetic details of the event to immerse them and their guests in an unparalleled experience. This also begins when our clients start working with us. At One Hundred Chairs, we want the entire process, from planning to execution, to be enjoyable.
