Daily Inspiration: Meet Amita Sall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amita Sall

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my journey in Seattle, where I spent my early years immersed in the world of human resources and recruitment, particularly in the IT and healthcare sectors. This experience honed my ability to connect with people and understand their needs, which has been invaluable throughout my career.

Over a decade ago, I made the big move to Arizona. It wasn’t an easy transition, especially as I was adapting to a new environment, new communities, and a different way of life. But I embraced the challenge and learned how to reinvent myself along the way. The resilience and flexibility I gained during this period set the stage for the next chapter of my life.

Real estate became my next passion. About two years ago, I decided to venture into this field, initially starting with notary services through AZ48 Notary Services LLC. This work exposed me to the intricacies of real estate and allowed me to build valuable relationships with industry professionals. Through this role, I got a front-row seat to the workings of title and escrow, loan signings, and the needs of homebuyers.

As I continued my journey, I recognized that I wanted to have a more direct impact, so I became a licensed real estate agent. My focus has shifted to commercial real estate, where I can combine my passion for healthcare, travel, and business strategy. I’m particularly interested in helping healthcare professionals find the right space for their practice, from dental offices to med spas. I’m always inspired by how real estate shapes people’s lives and businesses, and I enjoy using my diverse background to create meaningful solutions for my clients.

Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel extensively, and this has deeply influenced my perspective. My experiences abroad have not only opened my eyes to new cultures and cuisines but also deepened my appreciation for diversity and the importance of building connections.

I’m grateful for how everything has come full circle—each step of the way, from HR to notary services to commercial real estate—has helped me grow and serve others. I’m now fully immersed in my role as a real estate agent and continue to embrace opportunities to collaborate, learn, and make a positive impact in the community.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has certainly not been smooth, but every challenge has been an opportunity for growth. Moving from Seattle to Arizona in my late forties was one of the most difficult transitions. I had to reinvent myself, adjusting to a new culture, new communities, and a completely different lifestyle. It wasn’t easy, especially with the need to build new friendships and establish a sense of belonging in a place that was so different from what I had known.

When I decided to pursue a career in real estate, I faced another set of challenges. It wasn’t a straight path—real estate is a competitive industry, and breaking into commercial real estate while simultaneously running my notary service required a lot of juggling. There were days when I questioned whether I could do it all, but I leaned on my past experiences in human resources and healthcare, as well as my passion for building relationships and helping people, to stay motivated.

Additionally, navigating the learning curve of both notary services and real estate was challenging, especially while balancing my family life and transitioning from being a stay-at-home parent to a business owner. But those challenges made me more resilient and resourceful, teaching me the importance of patience, time management, and perseverance.

There have also been moments of self-doubt, like when I first started in the real estate industry mid-life, but with every success and small milestone, I grew more confident in my abilities. Now, as I reflect on those struggles, I see how they’ve shaped me into the person I am today—someone who values adaptability, continuous learning, and the power of community.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in commercial real estate, with a strong focus on healthcare spaces. My expertise lies in helping healthcare professionals find the right commercial properties to meet their unique needs. From dental offices to med spas and physical therapy centers, I work closely with my clients to identify spaces that align with their vision, ensuring they have the right environment to thrive.

What sets me apart is my background and my passion for building meaningful connections. Prior to my real estate career, I spent many years in human resources and healthcare recruitment, which gave me a deep understanding of the unique needs within the healthcare sector. This experience allows me to bring a personal, informed approach to each real estate transaction. I’m known for my ability to listen to my clients, understand their goals, and provide tailored solutions that meet their specific requirements. I’m committed to building long-term relationships, not just completing transactions.

I’m also incredibly proud of the connections I’ve made and the network I’ve built over the years. My work in both real estate and notary services has allowed me to collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, from mortgage lenders and title companies to healthcare providers and business owners. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help others succeed by connecting them with the resources they need.

I’m proud to be actively involved in several industry organizations and boards that support my work and values. I am member of Arizona Commercial Real Estate for Women (AZCREW) for 2025, a member of the Women in Healthcare Phoenix Chapter, a member of Women’s Council of Realtors Scottsdale and serve on the Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS® Commercial Council for 2025.

I’m also a community partner with the Arizona Housing Fund, leading initiatives to support affordable housing efforts. I serve on the Board of Directors for the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) Greater Phoenix and am the Co-Commercial Chair for 2025.

In addition to these roles, I’m a member of Global Ties Arizona’s Worldly Women’s Collective, which aligns with my passion for global connections. I also support the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women Phoenix Chapter and serve on the Executive Board of AFS Arizona International Exchange, further expanding my involvement in impactful community work.

What sets me apart is my unique blend of experience in both healthcare and real estate, my commitment to networking and connecting people, and my deep passion for creating positive, lasting impacts on the businesses and individuals I work with. I believe that by listening, understanding, and collaborating, I can help my clients achieve their goals and succeed in their ventures.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Although I wasn’t yet in real estate during the Covid-19 crisis, the pandemic still had a profound impact on my life and career trajectory. One of the most important lessons I learned was the power of resilience and adaptability. Watching how businesses and individuals quickly adapted to an unpredictable world—whether through remote work, changes in consumer behavior, or finding new ways to stay connected—taught me the importance of being able to pivot and embrace change when necessary.

On a personal level, the pandemic reinforced the value of community and human connection. Even in times of isolation, I found that checking in with friends, family, and colleagues became more meaningful. It reminded me that the relationships we build are one of the most important assets we have. This realization has influenced the way I approach both my personal and professional life today.

In terms of business, the pandemic also highlighted how industries, like healthcare, had to rethink their models. I observed healthcare providers shifting to telemedicine and adapting their practices to meet new demands.

Travel has always been a profound teacher for me, and even during the pandemic, I found myself reflecting on its lessons. Traveling opens our eyes to different ways of life, making us more empathetic and adaptable. It reminds us of the importance of connecting with people from different backgrounds and perspectives. I’ve learned that the act of travel—whether for business or personal growth—offers more than just a change of scenery; it offers a deeper understanding of what truly matters. In both life and business, these experiences shape how we adapt, overcome challenges, and connect meaningfully with others.
