Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Cramer.
Hi Victoria, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story began under a big Arizona sky where bold ideas and endless adventure meet. Raised in Arizona and after going to the University of Arizona, I began working for Marriott hotels. Over three decades I was in and out of Marriott always having a yearning for entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship isn’t about starting something it’s about sparking something – inside myself and others.
As the CEO (Chief Experience Officer) of Victoria Cramer, Inc, I’m equal parts strategist, storyteller, and spark plug. I help leaders and teams across the world infuse their work with purpose, play, and epic engagement.
My company was born out of the gift of breast cancer 11 years ago. I fight stage 4 breast cancer with intentionality every day. I had to see it as a gift and a driving force for transformation. It started as the impetus for becoming an author and since has grown into the Living Life Loudly book series.
One leader said it best, “Victoria has launched a movement. It’s the Be Epic movement and it’s about making an Epic Impact. Her work is a masterclass in disruption.” – C-Suite Leader
My clients have ranged from Marriott, Microsoft, and Medtronic to boutique companies looking to be innovators. My mission is universal: To help truly spectacular humans see epic results in life and in work. It’s about curating happiness to elevate your intensity in life.
Before I became the “epic life” architect, I had built a high-performing career in strategic growth and leadership consulting. However, I felt a tug to live more boldly myself so I created a business that blends executive coaching, keynote speaking, and experiential design. It’s as much about energy as it is about excellence.
In between emceeing conferences, keynote speaking, and coaching, I’ve got twin girls who need me and my rocket scientist husband, not to mention continuing to fight cancer. We remind one another to: Be intentional. Be brave. and Be Epic.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The struggles that I’ve faced are self-imposed for sure. The hardest of them all has been living with stage 4 breast cancer and believing that I have no disability and nothing stopping me from being successful. The reality sets in every once in awhile when I have to turn down a business opportunity that gets in the way of a round of chemo. It’s my intentionality that keeps me alive but it also creates some business hiccups along the way.
Financially, I’d say I’ve struggled because I have been living for a decade as if I might not be here for long. For my business and my family that leads to incredible experiences but it isn’t always best for our pocket book. So it’s held me back from being able to scale fully. I’m working on living like I’m living and that in itself has been an obstacle not really worth unpacking here but I’m a work in process.
AND, how about that imposter syndrome we always hear about. Let’s not even get me started on that obstacle. My Mom told me to stop dabbling in what I was meant to do on this planet and that helped me to move past imposter syndrome. I’ve earned my place and I’ll keep learning along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My company is me, myself, and I. Victoria Porter Cramer, the Be Epic Entrepreneur. I’m redefining leadership in an era where burnout and quiet quitting are trending. It’s a world where you will notice that “happy” and “high-performing” rarely show up in the same sentence.
That’s the gap that I help leaders and teams to close. It’s a place where happiness fuels intensity and intensity creates purpose. When you feel alive in your work and your relationships, you don’t just perform better – you live life louder. Because let’s face it, fine isn’t the goal – epic is.
