Conversations with Trisha Buono

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trisha Buono.

Hi Trisha , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I originally had microblading done over 10 years ago. That’s when I first learned about that form of permanent makeup. Years later, I was in school to be a special education teacher. While in school, a good friend of mine that I introduced to the girl that did my own micro blading, had started training, and asked me if I would be interested in taking her course. At the time, my focus was becoming a teacher, but I decided to take the course while I finish school. When I finished and I began to start my business, I started falling in love with not only the creativity, but the difference I was making in women’s lives. I truly felt blessed to be able to give women their confidence back and make them feel beautiful. I started getting clients asking me what else I offered and that’s when I decided to start adding on more services. I am currently at seven services. I offer three different types of permanent make-up services for eyebrows. I also offer lip blushing, camouflage tattoo, scalp Micro pigmentation, top-permanent eyeliner, and tiny tattoos.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe when you are running a small business on your own, you will go through a lot of ups and downs. It took me about a year to be able to go full-time with permanent makeup and I am thankful I did not have to permanently close my business after Covid, I’m still growing and putting in the hard work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I help women feel confident by giving them back their eyebrows and also helping them feel comfortable in their skin with other services I offer. I’m most known for eyebrows because that’s what I started with but I enjoy all the services I provide. I have made women feel more confident, not only with permanent makeup, but also camouflage tattoo helping women blend their stretch marks and scars. I’m most proud of being able to show my daughters to never give up and keep focusing on your dreams. What sets me apart from others is the detail I provide in your appointment. The compassion that goes into my work. I offer a comfortable and personalized experience. I customize every appointment to each clients needs and goals. I’ve met so many wonderful people along the way.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Advice I would give to anyone starting out is don’t be too hard on yourself as a beginner and continue to practice and educate yourself. You will not learn everything in one training, a lot of your expertise goes beyond certifications and making sure to practice your craft and continual learning.
