Conversations with Teniecka Drake

Today we’d like to introduce you to Teniecka Drake.

Hi Teniecka, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have shared about how I became a podcaster. I will be sharing more about how I began interviewing independent Christian Artist. It was not my intention when I first started my podcast journey to connect with music in this way. I remember one of my interviews with “Harmini”. At the time I was living in California. I was at the laundromat and somehow I got in contact with him. I called him on the phone and he happened to be in California recording a video for one his songs. He jad asked me to come up and be a part of it. At the time it was too far and I did not want to burden family with my children. That is how it began for me.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been challenges as it is with life period. One thing I can say is never quitting and not giving up is so powerful. Remaining consistent and hopefully on the path the Lord has placed me is imperative. It is so easy to say “well I do not see tje end result”. Often I have wanted to turn and walk away. I would ask myself is this truly helping somebody? When I think about the sacrifice the Lord Jesus did for me. It really is not about me and my ego wanting to end results. I am not in control of any of that. I just need to stay faithful to the little and in the Lord’s time he will elevate if that is his will.

Podcasting Godmother of Connection T.Drake- I am known for God’s Gift Through His Word the podcast found on a variety of different platforms!!! I am also known on my podcast for providing encouragement and sharing parts of my life to encourage others.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories was riding my bike. I always enjoyed getting fresh air and being outside.
