Conversations with Ronan Casey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronan Casey.

Hi Ronan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I originally discovered electronic music when I was introduced to Daft Punk by my father.

Then after a pandora station recomendation, I was introduced to dubstep in around 2012 by the likes of Skrillex, Excision and Liquid Stranger. I was considered a weird kid for liking this kind of music and listening to it. Eventually I tried out Virtual DJ to learn to DJ, and then in 2016 downloaded a copy of Ableton and the rest was history.

Through consistency, making connections, and putting myself out there I was able to play the Royal Ballroom at Decadence Arizona 2025, and I pulled quite a crowd.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. Rejection, social media comparison, lack of drive or eagerness, not carrying myself well and taking things too personal impeded my ability to see progress. The more I de attathched my ego and focused on getter better and not taking everything so personally allowed me to have an upward trajectory to where I am now.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am A Producer/ DJ that focuses on electronic music. I am known for my high energy sets, distinct sound, and intense branding. I stand out because when I perform, I showcase sets of basically all my own music (exception for a few tracks) and mashups, and I bring a sense of humor and lightness to such an intense genre. I am a chaotic goofball sometimes on social media, however in person I am told I am quite friendly! I have a bit of a mean mugging look but I love to connect and get to know people. I am most proud of my tenacity and ability to stay consistent even on days I do not feel good, because that will have me elevate compared to the rest.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Consistency and Adaptability. This is a game, I just have to learn to play it better and stay consistent. Passionately create and feel, however most of it is understanding what you can market to the general public while remaining authentic.
