Hi Rebecca, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Golden Year Co. started out as an outlet for my creativity. As my projects grew from designing cups to designing brands, I knew it was time for a refresh. So this is the new and much improved, Golden Year. My focus is assisting local businesses and creatives with organization and efficiency as well as content creation, brand, and social media management by providing virtual assistance.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been the smoothest journey. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is staying consistent with my own social media presence. I often pour so much of my energy into helping my clients achieve their social media goals that my own accounts tend to take a back seat.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My goal is to help you reach yours. As your business grows, so do your social media needs, and it can quickly become overwhelming. I specialize in providing virtual assistance to local businesses and creatives, focusing on organization, content creation, branding, and social media management.

What sets me apart in a crowded market is my positive approach, competitive pricing, and the broad range of services I offer.

I’m especially proud of starting this company and never once considering giving up. I genuinely love what I do and the opportunity to help others. It means a lot that both I and Golden Year have been so warmly received and supported.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Connecting with my audience and engaging with a community of small businesses have been key to expanding my network. Initially, networking events felt intimidating and overwhelming, but they pushed me out of my comfort zone. They’ve helped me confidently talk about myself and my business while also allowing me to share advice with others.
