Conversations with Ray Lemus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ray Lemus.

Hi Ray, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The Lemus Group, Inc. started in 2005 and has been a trusted contractor in the Valley ever since. We are now fully licensed in CA as well specializing in full residential and commercial services.
We started in Flagstaff and are now based in Chandler with jobs throughout the Valley. We still enjoy working up north and currently have projects from Queen Creek to Paradise Valley to Scottsdale and as far north as Taylor and Flagstaff.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Our industry always has its struggles. From material delays to manpower issues, but we always ensure our jobs our completed and our customers end up happy and satisfied with our quality of work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are a General Contractor licensed in AZ and CA. We are fully licensed/bonded/insured in both Commercial and Residential construction.
We specialize in full remodel and new home construction for our residential clients and tenant improvements for our commercial clients.
We do offer construction management services for both residential and commercial projects.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Our industry is looking good with the influx of younger generation tradesmen coming into the business. Hopefully, that trend will continue and we a can help to teach and shape the careers of our younger generation contractors.
The industry technology is helping to streamline the paperwork side of our business and newer tools help our tradesmen in the field.
I might get “beat up” for saying this, but you still can’t replace hardwork and generations of experience that make our trades the best in the world. You can’t beat the years of experience some of our more seasoned tradesmen have and god willing they continue to pass on their legacy to the younger generation.
I have seen so many instances of quality craftsmanship in the field that just amazes me! These people really know how to build and we are proud to partner with them. Hopefully that will carry on and we can continue to have these trade secrets passed on from generation to generation.
