Conversations with Aubrey Gehring of Organically Raw Produce Delivery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aubrey Gehring.

Hi Aubrey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I started my journey with an unwanted health diagnosis- Ulcerative Colitis. Years of pain and discomfort and testing finally landed on a diagnosis that left me with so many questions and no direction as to how to heal other than lots of medications. This just didn’t seem right- so I began the journey to holistic health training to learn all I could to heal.

In this journey, I found out there are so many out there living in the same discomfort as myself, so I began the education training and became a holistic health practitioner and energetic healer. It was actually a calling. I discovered over the years of working with clients that the biggest issue was what was on their plate- and the opportunity to afford quality foods was a concern for many. It planted a seed to the creation of Organically Raw Produce.

I wanted it to be so simple, choose the amount of product you need, choose the kind of products you like, have it delivered right to your front door along with other food and health-based items that support you. Increasing nutrition and removing unnecessary items from bread and such has supported my community in incredible ways.

Members of my community losing weight, and removing unwanted medications from their daily routine lead to a better financial situation for many and increasing energy and mood for many. The results were astounding! My community shares our program on a weekly basis and we continue to grow our program by adding other vendors and health care providers’ services to support our community holistically.

Working with the farmers directly and creating a wholesale program consisting of organic farming efforts, certified organic produce, and local farmers working hard to clean up their soil and water. Providing a stream of consistent income to their efforts has supported our local farmers to expand their growing options and even expand the land they farm on. It’s been an amazing journey!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road! Running a delivery program that has so many variables that I have no control of has been interesting to maneuver. Road conditions, monsoon weather and snowstorms, fire season, and available items from harvest all fall into the program.

We once had to deliver products through a hail storm- out of nowhere- it was kind of scary. But as fast as it hit, it passed and we moved forward to finish the route. I have had a tire blow out, and run into roads closed due to construction or accidents- all affecting the smoothness of deliveries.

Each week, we overcome. It’s never the same and we just bend and flex as we need.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in multi-diagnosis autoimmune diseases & post-cancer rehabilitation nutrition.

I am a certified Juice Therapist and Master Herbalist, so I create holistic plans and protocols for an individualized approach to the client’s healing- working with their body’s efforts and supporting them with nutrition, supplementation, and emotional support.

I am most proud of my client’s recovery stories- they find the right support and wow- it’s inspiring! I am excited to offer a platform to support their efforts of proper nutrition in an inclusive approach- making it simpler for my clients to get what they need.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My husband, Joey, has been an incredible backbone for me- offering stability for me- something that keeps me focused and grounded.

My Daughters, Darcy & Keirsten, for jumping in and helping to create client bags and stepping up with home responsibilities so I could get on the road and deliver. Some days come home to the surprise of a home-cooked meal or a polished space to relax.

My Mom, for noticing when I am overdoing it and asking me to stop and reset. Mom’s are so good at that! She never allowed me to give up on myself or my dreams and has been my biggest cheerleader even when she thought I was going after something insane. As a mom myself, watching your children achieve their goals is a real thing and I am so excited she has been present for all my ups and downs.

My 7th grade Science teacher, Mrs. Koeppe, for inspiring me to love chemistry and encouraged me to go after anything I want. She challenged me and I have never forgotten it.
