Today we’d like to introduce you to Mesa Marathon.
Hello Mesa Marathon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Brooksee has been producing racing events for over a decade. We started with the Big Cottonwood Marathon and from there developed the REVEL race series which takes place in the most beautiful landscapes. REVEL races seek to maximize the time our runners spend running in canyons, forests, state or national parks, and so forth.
The downhill nature of REVEL races provides a unique opportunity for runners to achieve personal best times and qualify for exclusive events. After years of adding to and perfecting the REVEL series, Brooksee expanded into the urban race scene by acquiring the Portland Marathon and, shortly after, the Mesa Marathon.
Regardless of the event, we are committed to encouraging a healthy lifestyle and providing opportunities to come together as a community.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like many other businesses, especially those in the events industry, we were hit hard during the Covid pandemic.
Luckily, our team was able to pull together and create OYO, a live marathon that you do on your own, and a few limited capacity events to help us pull through those tough times.
We are excited to be back to capacity with our regular events and hopefully growing with new ones in the near future!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
