Conversations with Melinda Spearman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melinda Spearman.

Hi Melinda, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had aspirations of becoming an RN. Unfortunately, life happened and I never completed school. However, my love and compassion to help others remained the same. I am a loving and caring person and I just want to provide a loving and caring space/environment for others to come and have access to tools that could help them heal mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

I went through a time in my life when I had to find myself again and rebuild myself. I started by learning about the metaphysical properties of crystals, yoga, chakras, and meditation. Once, I got familiar with crystals I started getting readings and learning how to read tarot cards. From there, I became one with myself and different doors started opening for me. That’s when I opened up Sky’s Magikal World where I sell several spiritual items such as; crystals, sage, palo santo, and much more. I then became a spiritual counselor and tarot reader and added those services to Sky’s Magikal World.

In the near future, I will be expanding Sky’s Magikal World by adding more services to help others. Not only will I be adding more services I will be expanding my brand and opening a women’s home for the mentally ill as a nurse. Yes, you heard it first I am currently in school to become a nurse. I will be able to offer others metaphysical help and western medicine help. This is only the beginning of something Magikal!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely been a rough road. I’ve had so many people talk down on me about being a tarot reader. I have had struggles with sales and I have had times where I was making big sales. I have wanted to give up many times on my dreams/goals/business due to lack of sales and the negative feedback I have gotten.

But, on a positive note knowing that I have helped many and guided them in the right direction has given me so much hope/faith. I love when I get reviews or my clients tell me how much I have helped them or how accurate my reading was for them. Those things keep me moving forward towards my goals.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am the owner of a metaphysical shop, a spiritual counselor, and a tarot reader. I specialize in tarot readings and crystals. I am known for my tarot readings and for making custom handmade crystal healing bracelets.

I am proud of how far I have come on my own spiritual journey to help myself and to be able to use my knowledge and skills to help others. I think what sets me apart from others is my honesty, genuinely caring, and my love for helping others.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Being able to help the world and making it a better place. My favorite saying is “all it takes is one helping hand to help the community”. I figure if I can help give people a day they can help themselves and help five people.

So, that would be a total of 25 people being helped. Rather, it’s just a nice jester, listening ear, a hug, or a simple thank you. That could mean a lot to someone else. This matters to me because we all need someone and I know at times I need a little help.

With more helping hands we could possibly cut down on depression, suicide, loneliness, and feeling lost in this world.
