Conversations with Madison Pinebird

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Pinebird.

Hi Madison, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always been in love with Movement. I spent the majority of my childhood as a competitive dancer and then went on to become a professional dancer in the NBA (Utah Jazz & Phoenix Suns). Although I loved dance so much it was something that was only for me and I knew I wanted to help others. I choose to take my passion for movement and turn it into a career as a fitness instructor. I have now been in the fitness industry for almost a decade and spent the majority of that time as a personal trainer, nutrition coach, functional strength coach and a group fitness instructor. I knew I always wanted fitness and movement as part of my life but then I had my beautiful son, King. As soon as I became a mom, my priorities and the way I needed to move my body shifted. That’s when Mother Figure was born. I now help hundreds of mamas become as healthy as possible during their pregnancy and journey into Motherhood.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The transition into Mother Figure has actually been very natural and organic. I am combining my two passions of Movement and Motherhood and sharing it with the world. However, being an entrepreneur has not come without its struggles. Trying to grow a business as a new mom (I started Mother Figure with a five month old) has been challenging. One thing I have very proud of is that this I have built this business solely on nap time hustle. AKA 2-3 hours a day is all I get. It has been very hard but more than worth it!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Mother Figure is a Prenatal and Postnatal Exercise and Education program. I help educate my mamas on all things health, wellness and exercise during their pregnancy and their entrance into Motherhood.

I am a certified pre and postnatal fitness expert, a certified personal trainer, a sports and exercise nutrition coach, a functional strength coach but most importantly a MOM! So I get it! I have been right where they are at and I feel confident that I can help educate and empower them as they navigate their pregnancy and motherhood.

I am most proud that this program is not just about your new pregnant body or getting your body back after baby. This is a total health and wellness program. Mind, body and soul! We address all aspects of health ranging from fitness and nutrition all the way to mental health and communication within your relationship.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Always having my mom present. I look forward to providing the same comfort for my son and future children.
