Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Phillips.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our goal at Pretty Please Collective is not only to provide the best and most unique product, but to also make lasting connections with our patrons. Our teams pride themselves on creating fun and memorable shopping experiences, while helping you find exactly what you are looking for.
Pretty Please Collective consists of an array of women’s clothing, accessory, and gift stores located in California and Arizona. The names of these boutiques are: Pretty Please, Daisy Blue, Mj Brown and RAE.
Pretty Please – Del Mar, CA was the first boutique to open back in 2007. After Shelly founder of the Pretty Please Collective saw a need in the community for quality boutiques with affordable pricing. Pretty Please has fashion-forward, trendy pieces, and fun accessories.
Daisy Blue – Del Mar, CA opened up next in the same shopping center as the flagship Pretty Please location. Daisy Blue brings quality fabrics, timeless basics, comfort, and unique gift items to the market. Their top brands are PJ Salvage, Gigi Moda, and Michael Stars.
RAE Boutique located in Scottsdale, Arizona carries a combo of fashionable pieces intermixed with brands that will never go out of style.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but it has absolutely been a rewarding one. The relationships I’ve built with employees who feel like family and with clients from both our local neighborhoods and out-of-town visitors make every challenge worthwhile. The most difficult period was 2020 when we had to navigate the uncertainty and rapid changes brought on by the pandemic, but the experience ultimately strengthened our team and deepened our connection to the community.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the General Manager of Pretty Please Collective, a group of women’s clothing boutiques across Arizona and California. I specialize in building strong teams, refining operations, and creating memorable customer experiences.
I’m known for hands-on leadership and a strong eye for design—balancing operational needs with creative merchandising, marketing, and community-driven events.
I’m most proud of helping scale our Arizona stores while maintaining a warm, cohesive culture that empowers staff and delights customers.
What sets Pretty Please Collective apart is its blend of trend-forward fashion and a truly personalized shopping experience. Our Arizona boutiques offer carefully curated collections and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers excited to return.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality that I believe is most important to Pretty Please Collective’s success is consistency with heart. We stay true to our vision of curating trend-forward fashion at approachable prices while creating an inviting, memorable experience for every customer.
Consistency shows up in everything: the way our teams are trained, how we merchandise each store, and how we connect with our communities. Pairing that reliability with genuine warmth and personal connection is what keeps customers coming back and allows the company to grow year after year.
