Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Wright.
Hi Kimberly, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Before I obtained my real estate license, I was working hard in the entertainment industry, nothing too big by any means, but I loved every second of it. I was modeling, teaching ballroom dance, and coaching gymnastics. I grew up as a gymnast, so coaching gymnastics came naturally to me, and when I started as a ballroom dancer, I was actually better at teaching it than I was doing it! LOL! I even moved to LA for multiple teaching job opportunities in 2018, but I was only out there for four months before I decided that I needed a different path.
I moved back to Arizona, started as an agent recruiter here at the Home Smart cooperate office in Scottsdale, and went to school to obtain my real-estate license. It took me forever to pass my real-estate exams, and after a few try’s, I finally passed! I took everything I learned from my background in teaching dance and gymnastics and put it towards educating my buyers and sellers on the process to buy or sell their homes. I have found so much more value in helping families find a home and literally move into the next chapter of their lives.
I now hang my real-estate license with My Home Group and have a phenomenal mentor, coach, and team at Revisto Real-estate Group. In any business you run, there’s a lot of trial and error. As a coach, I used to tell my gymnasts a quote by Gabby Douglas “Don’t keep practicing until you get it right, keep practicing until you are unable to get it wrong.” I live by that quote every day. I learned from a very young age as a gymnast that if you say you can’t do something, you can’t. But if you say you can, you’re already there and nothing can stop you.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all, it took me a while to get the hang of real estate and building my own business. Hell, it took me a while to pass my test! Realestate is not as easy as everyone makes it look over social media, and it’s nothing like you see on Selling Sunset. When I first obtained my license, I had NO IDEA what I was doing (like most Realtors).
I did not have the confidence or knowledge to work in this business, I was terrified and I allowed that to hold me back for the first year.
I came from a teaching background, I felt more comfortable knowing something before I could teach it, and real-estate school doesn’t teach you how to work in this business at all. And it definitely doesn’t teach you how to be confident. I wrote on my bathroom mirror for a full year, “You are a Realtor!” I read that multiple times every single day.
It took me a long while to figure out three things: One, I needed to tune in and map out exactly how I learned as well as execute learning something new daily. Two, how I would educate my clients, and what processes and systems I needed to create for them to get them to their end goal. And three, what in the world was my niche!? I had no idea who I connected with at the highest level. Once I figured those three things out, it all became a lot easier for myself and my clients. I finally felt like a Realtor, and fortunately for me, I had nothing to lose when I decided to make the leap and start my real-estate business full time in August of 2020. That was the best decision I have ever made.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a licensed Arizona Realtor, and I specialize in helping first and second-time home buyers move into the next chapter of their lives. Some people are unable to buy right away or don’t want to buy right away so I have a rent-to-own program option for them. I am also a credit referral agent, so anyone that needs help with credit repair, savings, life insurance, will and trust, identity theft, etc. I help them set up a plan and walk them step by step through the process. If their credit scores are low it’s the first step for them to get closer to fulfilling their dreams of home ownership. From helping them repair their credit scores, to handing them the keys to their new home I do it all, and I have a program for each person personalized to their own individual wants and needs.
My goal is to make each step in the process as easy, and stress free as possible. So in order to do that, I go above and beyond with each client to ensure that they are on the right track, and they are well educated through out the entire process. This is one of the biggest financial investments of someone’s life, they need all of the service and support they can get. . Each and every person deserves the highest quality of customer service when purchasing a home, and they need someone buy their side to help them make the best decision for themselves and their families. I’m here to help serve and support at the highest possible level, and don’t pressure my clients to do anything, ever.
I am most proud of the families that I have helped. With each family that I help fulfill their dream of home ownership the more inspired I become. Everyone’s story is different, and I love being a part of their journey, in a very positive way. I think that’s what sets me apart from others in my industry. I am not just a professional business woman, I am an optimistic, fun-loving, get sh*t done, go-getter that only wants to help others accomplish their goals and fulfill their dreams. I share a lot of who I am on social media, and I don’t stray away from being my authentic self. People always ask me if I would change if a million dollar buyer came a long, and the answer if no. I would give them the same exact high quality service that I would give anyone else. I refuse to give up who I am, my morals, and standards to make a dollar. I’m not in real estate for the money or the “fame”, I chose this career to help make a difference in peoples lives.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I am always looking to connect and collaborate with more people in the Valley. You can find me on Instagram or Facebook. I am on social media daily, it’s my favorite way to keep in touch with past clients, friends and family. You can also contact me through my website and book an appointment, or if you are on Instagram you can book an appointment with me on the “BOOK NOW” tab on my Instagram profile page. The biggest way you can support me is sending referrals my way and connecting with me over social media! Say hi, ask questions about real-estate, come to any events I host, and so on. I would love to get to know you and connect with you!
