Conversations with Kid Corona

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kid Corona.

Hi Kid; thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to the US from Sonora when I was around 11. I graduated from Nogales High School in 94. I always knew what I wanted to be; a radio DJ and a TV host. I reached the beginning of that dream in Dec of 94. My goal was to make it to LA as a morning show host. In 2007, that dream became a reality. Then, in 2008, the economy failed, and we were all let go. I ended up moving back to AZ and working for CBS Radio. In 2017, by chance, I partnered with Jack Trivia, and we created the world’s only TV-style trivia game show for bars, restaurants, and corporate clients. We have been going strong since that time. We are all over AZ, new to Nevada and, hopefully soon, the Country.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
The entertainment business is always a challenging road. There needs to be a roadmap. You can’t go to school for this stuff. I’ve been fired, I’ve quit, I’ve made great money, and I’ve been broke. It’s the nature of the beast.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Most people either know me through radio, TV, or music. In 1996, I was featured as “Kid Corona” on the hit song AZ Side by Nasty Boy Klick. Today, I host the world’s only TV-style trivia game show for bars, restaurants, and corporate clients; JackTrivia. We air in AZ and NV.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Dedication, persistence, and curiosity
