The vision for Tefillah Room, LLC was planted in my heart and mind during an unforgettable Sunday afternoon drive. My car had always been my sanctuary—where I poured out prayers, praised, and worshiped freely. But that day was different. As I reflected on my experience at the Woman Evolve conference, thanking God for the profound messages I had received over the past three days, I heard a voice. It was loud yet still, gentle yet persistent. The voice wasn’t just speaking—it was excited, brimming with anticipation: “Start a business designing Prayer Rooms.”

I was stunned. It wasn’t fear that held me back but confusion. How could this be a business? Yet, the voice was insistent: “You’ve already designed prayer rooms for friends. And don’t forget how much you love the movie War Room!” By the next stoplight, I found myself envisioning what this could look like—details flooding my mind like flashes of inspiration.

As the voice and visions refused to relent, I began to pray fervently, asking God for clarity and provision. By the time I arrived home, the seed had been planted, watered with faith and excitement. I combined my passion for prayer, my organizational skills, and a spark of entrepreneurial spirit. Tefillah Room was no longer just an idea—it was a divine calling.

That night, in the quiet of my bedroom, I opened my journal and began sketching out what this ministry could become. Fueled by a desire to help others deepen their connection with God, I envisioned prayer rooms as sacred spaces—places where believers could find peace, power, and purpose in their conversations with Him.

For months, I poured myself into this vision. Weekends were spent journaling ideas, seeking inspiration, and learning the ropes of entrepreneurship through endless hours of research, social media tutorials, Zoom seminars, and trial-and-error. There were moments of frustration—tears and cries of doubt—but I anchored myself in Proverbs 24:16: “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get back up again.” That scripture became my lifeline, a constant reminder that perseverance and faith go hand in hand.

Every step of the journey has been a testament to God’s provision and purpose. My personal prayer life and the impact of my own prayer room underscored the need for spaces dedicated to communion with God. The journey of Tefillah Room, LLC has been a rewarding yet challenging experience. Starting a business with a unique vision—focused on helping people create intentional prayer spaces—has been a leap of faith in more ways than one. Unlike traditional industries, there isn’t a clear blueprint or established market for what we’re doing. We’re not just building a company; we’re pioneering a concept that combines faith, prayer, and design in a way that hasn’t been done before.

Unlike interior design companies that operate on a large scale with well-known formulas, we’re creating something entirely new. It’s not like the bread aisle, where there are many options with the same core concept under different labels. What we offer is distinct, and with that comes the challenge of educating people about its value and purpose.

As a first-time entrepreneur, learning the ins and outs of running a business—especially one that breaks the mold—has been an incredible but steep learning curve. From designing products that inspire prayer to figuring out how to market something so unique, every step has required creativity, resilience, and trust in God’s plan.

Yet, through the struggles, we see the impact. The stories from our customers and the communities we’re building remind us why this work matters. We’re creating more than products—we’re fostering environments for spiritual growth and connection.

2. Seek Someone with Experience: Look for a person whose prayer life inspires you—someone who demonstrates spiritual maturity, wisdom, and a genuine relationship with God and be intentional in your ask. Share, why you admire their prayer life and how their guidance could help you grow. Be clear about what you’re seeking—a mentor to guide you in prayer, offer accountability, and share wisdom.

3. Commit to Mutual Growth: A mentorship relationship works best when both parties are open to learning from each other. Approach the relationship with humility, a willingness to grow, and respect for their time and commitment.
