Conversations with Isaac Martinez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaac Martinez

Hi Isaac , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hey my name is Isaac, I’m a videographer/content agency owner/content creator in the valley. I have shot content at Super Bowl 57 Red Capet events, Rolling Stone, Scottsdale Fashion Week, Arizona Fashion Week, Miami Swim Week, Ostrich Festival, Wild West Music Fest, and much more, Traveled the country for filming gigs, & work full-time on my video business ‘Vision Through A Lens LLC’ where I create content for small businesses/entrepreneurs. And it all started from creating Call of Duty videos on YouTube.

In 2015 I made the choice to start creating content on YouTube. For 1 reason and 1 reason only. It sounds crazy but to join a Call of Duty gaming team called FaZe Clan. For 3 years I recorded & edited 3-5 videos a week, trying to create good enough content to one day join the team, while working a part time job and part time school.
Through this time is when I started developing the skill of filming & editing. Trying to make every video better than the last. Sometimes I would spend hours editing videos, I remember a gaming montage I made took me about 26 hours total to finish, 4 days of editing… it ended up being a 4 minute video. My old videos were terrible, I can barley watch some of them without cringing lol but these bad videos & the mistakes I made along this time shaped me for what was to come.

Fast forward to 2019, I got a real estate videography job. Unknowingly I started to learn the business side of creating content, creating content to bring new clients for the investor I was working for. This was also around the time social media marketing started to take off. Knowing how to film and edit videos + basic graphic skills (basically everything I learned how to do from doing it on my YouTube) made me super valuable in the real estate space. And I started to learn a method of creating valuable content for real estate clients. I was always everybody’s first hire so I had to learn how to do everything from social media management to setting up a full production room by myself, which was frustrating at times. But I knew everything I was learning was going to help me in the long run.

Through this time I started to meet others who were also doing video work. 2021 I met a real estate videographer, who also did a lot of work in the fashion space here in AZ. He invited me to one of his film productions (first real production I had ever been to). I made a difficult choice that same day & time of where I could have been but ended up going to the production. I met everyone there & one of the girls there happened to be the founder of a modeling school called Corella & Co. I made my own BTS video of that shoot, they saw it, really liked how to turned out and ended up hiring me to film their first year model graduates. This is where my creative journey started.

2023 is when my life really started to change. I had started doing a lot of video work in the fashion space, while working with entrepreneurs creating their content. August 2022 I pulled the trigger and bought the Sony a7siii. February 2023 I found my self working with a company called 7th level with Jeremy Miner. At that time he was the biggest sales trainer in the world. I learned so much about his method of selling, how his business runs through social media content, and asked him questions about how he was able to become a millionaire though only commission based pay. Though my time working with him I learned high level communication and sales skills that I implemented into my video business.

In every job/situation I’ve ever been in I’ve always learned and adapted to understand how to make content work for me. Learning from my mistakes, and figuring out new ways to make clients who work with me, more money through the content I create for them. And documenting my life along the way. There’s so much more about what I’ve done but that’s enough writing for now lol.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yes and no, there’s good times and bad times. Less struggles when I was working for people/businesses rather than now business work with my packages. Figuring out how to continue building this video business into the mainstream big brands/influencers, how to build a solid team to continue growth & delegate,

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Specializing in video work, I have created videos for various music festivals, events, fashion shows, & business content! Documenting my experiences on YouTube & Instagram. known as the guy whos always creating content. I’m most proud of turning my passion into my full time career. My editing sets me apart from lots. Editing is the only way to stand out in this world of creatives, with my 9+ years of editing experience there’s a lot of tricks I’ve learned that sets me apart from the rest.

Any big plans?
I want to continue building this video business into something where my team creates content for big brands, in the mainstream. Everything I’m doing now is slowly shaping that existence, leveraging every piece of content I make to bring in the next big client & building my personal brand on YouTube & Instagram,
