Conversations with For Pleasure

Today we’d like to introduce you to For Pleasure.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My love for music started back in high school, then I start experimenting with DJ gear and fell in love ever since. I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I have today without my friends, family, and the drive to be the best me I can be. If it wasn’t for orchestra, I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I’ve been production-wise.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely during the pandemic, there has been some bumps in my path. Of course, the stop of all forms of social gatherings halted my chances to work events. With everything closed, it was difficult to sometimes have the motivation to get to work or get better at the craft. But since the return of live concerts and events, everything has been full of adventure, hard work, and consistent dedication to the music.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I DJ and produce dance music. My style contains elements of electronic pop, house, HipHop, Chill Hop, and afrobeat music. I started in 2017, and started this project New Year’s Eve 2020. Some of my proudest moments has definitely been performing in Los Angeles, auditioning for the Gold Rush Music Festival Competition here in Arizona, and getting booked for toms of future events here in the valley.

What matters most to you? Why?
Dedication, uniqueness, and consistency. Music persists for all 3. I try not to aim to be the next someone, but let my influences be a part of my sound.

And I like to think that perfect practice makes perfect and practice makes permanent. That’s why I make dedication, uniqueness, and consistency be a huge part of my project.
