Today we’d like to introduce you to Don Dario.
Hi Don, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started stand-up comedy to express feelings and thoughts I could not express anywhere else. An instant family made it hard to communicate frustrations, so I decided to document life’s difficult topics on The DUM Podcast so that my children can access the information when they are ready. Showcasing my talented friends on the podcast has made this venture an amazing journey!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing worth it has a smooth road in front of it. I have dealt with the hard crowds, jealous comics, hating club owners, and fake comedy friends, but I keep doing this for the craft because I love comedy, and no one or nothing can ever take that away.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an artist. I don’t sell my art; instead, I pledge my time to create art. My journey through life has been amazing because of how I perceive art in life, and I am thankful to share my experiences through graphic design, stand-up comedy (DonDarioComedy.com), and online content (YouTube: The DUM Podcast) and all art that I create.
What do you think about luck?
Luck is allowing my opportunities to be “out of my control,” and I’m a control freak. I create my good luck or bad luck, depending on how prepared I am for anything.
