Conversations with Debra Gomez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Debra Gomez.

Debra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started a little over a year ago when I did a setup for my husband’s birthday & little ones’ 1st birthday (they share the same birthday). It was a simple theme, but a cute white & baby yellow daisy theme.

Everything turned out so well and was encouraged by many to finally start offering my services.

At the time I was managing to have a full-time job, all while still doing setups on the weekends. After a few months, my husband and I decided it was time for me to leave the Mortgage industry after almost 10 years to pursue something I absolutely love doing!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s never easy with the Balloon industry growing so fast. In my opinion one of the biggest challenges is trying to price at a reasonable amount, but also stay within the clients budget.

And also trying to surpass the clients expectations as well as mine so I can keep improving for my future clients.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Jumping with Grace offers White Bounce Rentals, Custom Balloon garlands, Backdrop rentals and setups.

We absolutely love getting to know our clients and building relationships with other local vendors.

We truly believe in community over competition.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success can be achieved when you try your best in doing something you love, even if it doesn’t lead to big results l, but makes you happy at the end of the day.
