Conversations with Dakota Shushlachee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dakota Shushlachee

Hi Dakota, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Wavelengths’ journey commenced in 2015 with a spark of creativity in my bedroom. As the vision expanded, so did the band, with Dawah Shushlachee on drums, Raleigh Jones on bass guitar and vocals, and myself on guitar and vocals, forming a dynamic trio. We subsequently evolved into a quartet with the addition of Cody Waybenais on guitar and Darius Begay assuming Raleigh Jones’ role on bass and vocals. Despite the logistical challenges posed by our residences in two different states, we are committed to capitalizing on available opportunities and excited to see where these take us!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As we navigate our careers and personal lives, we’re embracing the opportunity to master time management and achieve a better balance. With our dual-state lifestyle spanning New Mexico and Arizona, we’re exploring creative solutions for managing travel and recording time. As we grow as a band and business, we’re committed to learning and adapting together. Currently, we’re on the hunt for the perfect practice space for our drummer,
