Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Farris
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My lash journey began in 2018 when I earned my Esthetician License from The Studio Academy of Beauty. I started as an eyelash technician at The Lash Lounge Scottsdale Quarter, where I quickly worked my way up to Salon Manager. During my time there, I fell in love with the art of creating beautiful, customized lash looks for my clients. In 2020, I decided to take a leap of faith and start my own business, Courtney.lashed LLC. Building my own brand has been such a rewarding experience, and I take pride in offering my clients timeless, comfortable lash extensions that make them feel confident and beautiful. My passion for what I do drives me every day, and I’m so grateful to be doing what I love.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My lash career has been a journey full of challenges that have shaped me into the business owner I am today. When I first started as an eyelash technician, I had to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment while perfecting my craft—a balance that wasn’t always easy. Transitioning into the role of Salon Manager added another layer of responsibility, from managing a team to ensuring the salon’s success. Learning to lead effectively while maintaining my passion for lashing was a constant challenge, but one I embraced.
Starting Courtney.lashed LLC in 2020 brought its own set of hurdles. Building a business from the ground up required me to navigate unfamiliar territory like marketing, finances, and client retention, all while staying true to my vision. There were moments of self-doubt and financial stress, especially during the uncertainties of the pandemic, but I refused to give up. Balancing my business and personal life, especially after becoming a mother, has been another obstacle, but it’s taught me the importance of prioritizing and staying organized.
Each challenge has pushed me to grow, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. These experiences have strengthened my resilience, sharpened my skills, and deepened my passion for creating beautiful lashes and meaningful connections with my clients.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work is all about enhancing confidence and creating beauty through the art of lash extensions. As the owner of Courtney.lashed LLC, I specialize in designing customized lash styles that suit each client’s unique features and preferences. From natural, timeless looks to bold and dramatic designs, I focus on precision, quality, and comfort to ensure my clients leave feeling their absolute best.
Beyond the lashes themselves, my work is about connection. I love getting to know my clients, building trust, and creating an experience where they feel relaxed and cared for. Every appointment is an opportunity to not only provide a service but to make someone’s day brighter.
Owning my own business means wearing many hats, from managing bookings and marketing to staying on top of the latest industry trends. It’s challenging but so rewarding, knowing that everything I put into my work reflects my dedication and passion. My goal is to deliver more than just beautiful lashes—it’s about crafting an experience that’s as timeless and comforting as the looks I create.
What does success mean to you?
Success, to me, is more than just achieving goals—it’s about personal growth, fulfillment, and creating a life that aligns with my values and passions. It’s finding joy in the journey, not just the destination. In my career, success is measured by the relationships I build with my clients, the confidence they feel after their appointments, and the pride I take in my work.
On a personal level, success is about maintaining balance—pouring energy into my business while being present for my family and loved ones. It’s about overcoming challenges, learning from failures, and continuing to push forward even when things get tough. Ultimately, success is living a life that feels authentic to me, where my hard work and dedication create not only financial stability but also happiness, purpose, and peace of mind.
