Conversations with Chris Amos

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Amos.

Hi Chris, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
No Boundaries Marketing Group was founded to simplify the marketing and advertising world for small to medium-sized businesses. Through our experience, we recognize that having a comprehensive marketing and advertising strategy, not a cookie-cutter solution, is important to the overall success of a business. Identifying and capitalizing on the attributes that make each small to medium-sized business unique helps to provide our clients with a personalized brand strategy. Therefore our mission is to understand your business and develop a unique marketing strategy to achieve the desired goals.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been a few hiccups here and there. But that is to be expected when trying to reinvent the wheel. We have learned from our mistakes and have developed a solid model of how we do things. Our transparency and results speak for themselves, and we will conquer any challenge to achieve it.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
Before starting No Boundaries Marketing Group, I had a fantastic career working for a large marketing company based in the midwest. For nearly a decade, I learned the ins and outs of the marketing and advertising game. I learned to utilize a variety of platforms, tools, and resources to help provide my clients with a competitive advantage in their respective areas. One challenge I experienced working on the corporate side of things is that I could only provide my clients with a set list of services, even though their needs might be far greater than what the company I worked for provided. I spent a fair amount of time trying to fit my clients into a specific box and learned over time that there was a better way! There is seldom any strategy involved, and cookie-cutter plans are only so effective. They can get a business, but the long-term solution needs to be there. Our current business model allows us to go where few marketing companies can genuinely go. We pride ourselves on creating truly customized marketing strategies that synergize with one another. Whether it is a website build and SEO or maybe a PPC campaign with a social media content strategy, we pull out all the stops for our clients to create transparent results!

We’d like to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I try to veer away from “luck,” it makes it seem like our accomplishments are flukes when in reality, it was the result of our hard work. If I had to say where we have been lucky, I would go with who has applied to work with us. I have a staff that I wouldn’t trade for the world. This group is the hardest-working bunch I have ever had the pleasure of working with, and I let them know it every day. In regards to my life, without question, the luckiest part was when Joeleen said “yes” to be not only my partner in the business but also my forever marriage partner.
