Conversations with Chance Hunter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chance Hunter.

Hi Chance, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself. 
At the beginning me and a few of my friends were selling solar going door to door as a side hustle. We had noticed the market here in Arizona was pretty rough. Between all the different solar companies and your utility provider, there was a lot of gray area on what solar looks like for homeowners. We knew we wanted something different, something that still has a beneficial impact to the community. Through a mutual friend, we found out about Roof Maxx! After doing some research on the company, the product, its growth, we realized this was a perfect candidate. At the time, Arizona didn’t have a dealer for this product. We got in contact with another dealer based out of Hazen, ND, who was interested in the Phoenix market. After meeting, we made things official! Together, we were going to bring Roof Maxx to the Arizona. In the beginning we were going Door to Door, calling as many people as we could during the week to line up jobs on the weekend. We started out with a fully equipped trailer. At the time, we didn’t have a truck or any vehicle capable of pulling a trailer. So, each Friday, we would go rent a truck from Enterprise and then take care of our customers. We continued to do this for about 7 months until we were able to acquire a mobile service van. As our business continued to grow, we needed to bring on more people. Throughout all this time, myself and a childhood friend of mine, Preston Stuart, were doing the majority of the work with the help of friends. Juggling our 9 to 5 careers, we knew we needed full-time attention to this business. So, at the beginning of this year, we hired our first full-time employee! A close friend of mine, Matthew Schubert. Today we have a team of trusted experts serving Arizona and helping homeowners extend the life of their roofs! 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We would run into issues sourcing trucks to pull our trailer in the beginning. We would run into issues juggling two jobs at once. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We specialize in Roof Rejuvenation! We take the lifespan of your roof and maximize its full potential. We are a team of young, hardworking, and highly professional people. When you do business with us, you’ll experience good people doing the right thing. You’ll be working with a friend. 

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Our leadership team from North Dakota has taken a risk in trusting us with the operation of their business. Every day, they trust us to do the right thing and make the right decisions for the customers and the business. In return, we have to trust their mentorship and their decisions for the team and business.
