Conversations with Brianna Stratton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Stratton.

Hi Brianna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My art has taken many shapes and forms as I have grown. I started as a child loving anything hands-on or art related. As I grew I found my niche in oil and acrylic painting as well as automotive photography. Each year my direction for my art takes new forms but each has its own unique set of skills that come along with it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Art has not been a smooth road for me. Starting as an artist is always difficult and finding places to show the art is just as hard. Some struggle that I have seen in this field is the lack of support and money that comes with it. I have had many companies lose paintings of mine. In the photography community, there are many fantastic well-known photographers, and as such a small community it is harder to break into the field.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I take on many forms of art which include painting, jewelry & clothing making, along with photography. My specialization in art would be oil painting and large-scale animal or nature painting. For my photography, I specialize in drift/ automotive.

What makes me stand out from others in my art is my dedication to capturing moments as they are, and showing detail thoroughly In my paintings, I use black canvas to make the pictures pop as well as bright almost neon coloring. What I am most proud of is the connections that I have built throughout the art and photography community.

So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters to me the most is genuine connections and people. This is the most important to me because I value people’s ideas and thoughts and believe that collaboration and working with others help make the world go round.
