Conversations with Brandon Strabala

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Strabala.

Hi Brandon, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Brandon has lived and worked in Sedona for nearly 8 years creating Orgone Knight’s Orgonite, while also self-publishing his first book Dancing Beyond Cancer. The book can be found online in written form, audiobook, and a video version all available for free. It was more important to share the lessons learned than to make money off the experience. It is a touching story about Brandon’s first year in Sedona, while also a tragic story about love, life, loss, and healing.

Brandon would meet his wife on his birthday only to have their wedding day be the same day she was diagnosed with Cancer. Instead of getting married in her Dance Studio as she was the Dance teacher for 20 years in Sedona, they ended up getting married in the hospital just before her surgery. Sadly she passed 6 months and a day after the wedding. However, due to hosting Dances in honor of Danielle Elise Claire, we can confirm she is still with us. Many strangers have described her dancing at the Dance on the Rocks, only to find out the story. It is amazing the number of people that have felt her or seen her dancing.

Brandon started work at 16 in the service industry working for all types of restaurants and bars in Tucson, Arizona, and Las Vegas, NV. The experience in Vegas eventually led him to find work in financial services, where he ended up working for JD Mellberg Financial as a retirement planner. After learning everything about the financial industry, hidden fees, poor sales practices, and learning about a corrupt Federal Reserve, he didn’t feel that teaching people about finance was truly helping people. He saw the system was broken and there wasn’t anything he could do to fix it. Instead, he left finance and started making art. A move that made most people in his life think he had lost his mind. Brandon knew he had to do something that was right and help others, which is what led him to Orgonite.

Discovering Orgonite through a Spirit Science Youtube video that was discussing crystals. I learned orgonite is a simple device made from Resin, Metal Shavings, and crystals. Often used for EMF radiation protection from Cell Phones and Wi-Fi. 10 years of experience has led to many profound healings, experiences, and more with zero claims of them not working. In fact, no one has taken me up on my money-back guarantee for effectiveness. That is over 10,000 people that I’ve helped without a single one reporting that the devices didn’t help them or their environment in some way.

Most people claim they sleep better, but I’ve had people report plants growing better, even coming back to life. My favorite reports are from teachers who report their students calming down in the classroom. Considering that most classrooms now have 30 kids with cell phones, iPods, and computers, and one wi-fi for every three classrooms, it shouldn’t be a surprise when the sensitive kids can’t calm down. Those kids who are usually diagnosed with ADHD are the very same kids who calm down. This is even reported by people who take them to work or hide them around a co-worker’s desk.

It is the number of people that I’ve been able to help that keeps me driven to make and share more. To start duplicating myself, I’ve interned 6 people, to teach them how to be successful artists, and to make effective orgonite. This is usually a 3-month program that teaches someone how to start, run, and make money while being an artist. The interns in exchange for gaining much insight and wisdom, help make the art, and over the course of 3 months, learn everything.

As it is my goal to one day not need to make thousands of pieces of functional art to help the world, because so many people are already helping. I see one day that students would be making their own orgonite in school, with beeswax or other non-toxic materials. I see myself becoming an artist who focuses on the art form versus the effectiveness. Creating truly one-of-a-kind items that are not only exciting to make but very exciting to look at afterward.

After a decade of making Orgonite, Brandon has also turned his passion for dance into another business endeavor. With help from his fiance, he is bringing Silent Disco to Sedona. As silent disco parties are gaining international attention, not only for the experience they provide but because they don’t create noise complaints. Sedona is renowned for no noise after 10 pm and often will get the cops called any time after 9 pm. This problem is solved by silent sound systems, and SedonaDances.com is the company that is bringing the future of Dancing to Sedona.

I enjoy giving back to the community in many ways, including making Sedona Dances a free place to post and share dance events in Sedona. As Sedona is a growing Dance community I’m happy to also help my Fiance grow her baby to the Sedona Dance Project. Which takes local movers and shakers from the community and teaches them how to perform onstage. It brings local artists together to create visual masterpieces that have already received some incredible attention.

Dance is my Passion, Dance is my Life, and To dance through life with the people you love, is the most rewarding life I could have ever asked for.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been filled with challenges, but with each challenge conquered came its own rewards.

While I wouldn’t recommend quitting your job and trying to start a financial company or an orgonite company. I learned a lot more by just jumping in and figuring it out. Jumping in brought many challenges such as developing a poverty mindset that took me years to dig myself out of, figuratively, and literally. Another challenge was trying to grow businesses without any capital or financial backing, which is the hardest and most difficult challenge to face as an entrepreneur.

Despite learning how to be far more resilient, stronger, and tougher now than I ever could have been if I did it the easier way. I don’t think I would ever do it the same again. Having stability and making a smooth transition is far better for most people’s mental health. As mine suffered because I couldn’t afford to survive but couldn’t set my ego aside to make my life easier.

While working in restaurants did not fit into my financial planning ideals, it would have made starting my own financial office far easier and more stable. Versus quitting everything and trying to make it no matter what. I made it happen, but not before almost foreclosing on my house, getting my truck almost repossessed, and lots of other stresses that come with being broke. Being broke is never good, and the lessons, if endured for too long can become a trauma. From my experience, it takes years to undo that trauma, and would recommend avoiding that experience altogether.

Work smarter, not harder. Always be open to learning from others as everyone has something to offer, and if an expert offers their advice, you better listen.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I make a living from art created from resin, recycled metal shavings, and mostly recycled crystals. I am proud that I’m able to make art in Sedona, Successfully now for 7 years. While also self Publishing Dancing Beyond Cancer during that time. I am proud to have accomplished that, but I’m most proud about never having one person take me up on my money-back guarantee about Orgonite’s EMF protection benefits. I’ve had the most skeptical people at my booth swear they were going to call me when it didn’t work, and I have yet to ever receive one of those calls.

Most people come back the next day saying something along the lines of, “Well I thought you were full of S**t but I did sleep better, the headache went away, etc…”. I would think it is miraculous except that there is science supporting it, just modern science hasn’t quite made the leap yet. Cymatics is basically the start of frequency science and it is just gaining momentum. Not what most people would consider mainstream, science.

I like being a fringe scientist, with a decade of experience. While also being an artist.

Networking and finding a mentor can have a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Find someone who is doing what you want to do and see if they will teach you. See if they will intern you, or if you can take them to dinner. Take advice from everyone you can, it doesn’t mean you need to use it, but the more advice you receive the more prepared in life you will be when a challenge arises.

Personally, I watch people who are better or have the skills I want. I then try to implement those characteristics into my own life. It never looks like the original and will always have my flair but I know I’m better because I watched others and taught myself how to do what they did.
