Today we’d like to introduce you to Brad Smith.
Hi Brad, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s in Retail and Consumer Science and hated retail. So, at 30, I gave it up and decided to be an electrician. I didn’t know anything, but I learned the trade and hustled. I never say no to any job and always give fair pricing. 12 years later, I work and run a team at Murray Electric, and I own LLC Bradley Smith Electrical. I work 60-70 hours a week, 40 hours with Murray Electric, and 20+ hours on the side. I always take Sundays off to be with my family.
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Being the sole income for my family and being away from them is the hardest thing; I do not have enough hours in a day, but I’m lucky; my beautiful wife, Danielle, does everything when I’m gone.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As of Dec. 5th, 2023, I was awarded a utility patent for a new electric device. The title is Apparatus and Methods for Insulating Terminals of an Electrical Device.
Before we go, can you talk to us about how people can work, collaborate, or support you?
I work with a small team of 3-4 guys; we are very efficient and love what we do. We love to have fun, even if it’s hard work.
