Conversations with Alexandre Orr

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandre Orr.

Hi Alexandre, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today. 
I am the founder, creative director, and head designer of ALEXANDRE. Prior to this, I studied Fashion Merchandising in St. Louis, MO to advance my knowledge of the business of fashion. I’ve also worked as a stylist for high-profile socialites and recording artists. I began my label in 2019 under the brand name Last In Line, but due to the pandemic, I could not fully launch and decided to take the time to learn and develop more skills, being primarily self-taught. The official launch of ALEXANDRE was in 2021. 

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No. It’s a journey. I love it though. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am known for using a lot of denim in my work. What makes us unique is that we are untraditional. We do not come from backgrounds in fashion design, so we teach ourselves everything and learn what is necessary to build what we want to build. We like to create visuals and performances that can be interpreted and interacted with by the viewer. The clothing are renditions of classic silhouettes but also speak to the story we are telling.

There are so many talented people in the city of Phoenix because of the strong culture that lives here.
