Conversations with the Inspiring Susan Kane

Today we’d like to introduce you to Susan Kane.

Susan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I founded Styles Revealed in August 2015 as a creative outlet and diary to document my love and passion for fashion, lifestyle, inspiration, and styling. I launched her blog in June 2016. In my blog, I reveal secrets and tips on how to look fabulous without spending a fortune. I hope to inspire women from all over the world to feel and look beautiful. Thanks for embarking on this exciting journey with me, as I try to balance it all-being a mother, wife, friend, and a fashion fanatic!

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting my blog was a lot of hard work. I started my Instagram page first to see if people loved what I posted and to drive traffic to my blog. My blog is still work in progress. I feel I have evolved since starting my blog. I want to share tips and more relatable topics besides fashion. I would love to grow my blog and share my journey of motherhood and my personal struggles. The advice I have is to keep trying, be passionate and never to give up. Also, to be authentic and true to yourself.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m a fashion and lifestyle blogger. I post about current fashion trends and also things and activities going around Arizona. I’m most proud of being able to work with incredible brands and attend events such as being a judge at Phoenix Fashion Week last month. What sets me apart from others is that I am relatable – I’m a mom, a fashion enthusiast, a friend and someone who is positive and always like to see the best in people.

Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
Since I did not have a mentor, I don’t have any advice on finding a mentor, but I strongly believe in networking. Networking is such an important tool in my industry. I’ve reached out to people and brands that I strongly believe in. Sometimes, it works out and sometimes it doesn’t, but you have to keep trying. Instagram and social media is such an important tool to network with people. I recommend engaging with your followers and producing content that speaks to your heart.
