Today we’d like to introduce you to Sally Rindlisbacher.
Sally, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my Instagram page as a way to make connections with other women and mothers. Over time, it has grown and given me the opportunity to meet some amazing people and work with some incredible brands! I have loved being able to find common ground with others and find ways to support and encourage each other through motherhood’s journey.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Becoming a social media influencer is no easy task. I have really had to learn to accept rejection from certain brands. Since there are so many influencers on the internet today, it is hard to claim your space and get brand deals. I have really had to stick to my core values and remember why I started. I pride myself on being as raw and real as I can on my page, which helps me connect with others on many levels. My advice for those just starting out would be to be patient with yourself, try to make genuine connections with others, be actively engaged with other influencers, and don’t be afraid to ask others in your niche their advice and opinion! I have met so many wonderful people who are willing to help me and give me insight into their experiences.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
Most of my Instagram post just focus on my daily life and the ups and downs of motherhood. When working with brands, I try to work with ones in areas that I am most passionate about. Some of those have included baby blankets, skin care, baby clothes, and hair product companies. I spend my time endorsing brands that I truly love and use on a daily basis. Like I said earlier, I pride myself on being real. I only endorse products I really can’t live without. I have turned down many brand deals, simply because it wasn’t a product I truly believed in.
Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
Finding other women/influencers in the same niche as me has been most helpful in growing my following and getting brand partnerships. I have learned SO much from other people who have been in my shoes longer than me. Using hashtags is a great way to find people in the same niche as you. I have been so pleased with the positive and kind responses I have gotten from others. People are so willing to help out!
