Reyna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always had a love for makeup. I started doing make up in 2013 at the age of 16 for friends and family, as the years went by, my experience grew I started branching out with clients such as formal events, weddings, proms, and special occasions which is the reason I started my own business.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t always been easy as a make up artist you have to work crazy hours and days. Sometimes, clients aren’t satisfied with your work. My advice for other women is that no matter what happens in your career never lose your passion for your work because that’s what will get you through the hard times

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into your business story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a freelance make up artist meaning I am self-taught. My main specialty is bridal makeup. I am able to go parties of up to 12 people in a day. I am most proud of my ability to grow my experience in makeup artistry as well as my clientele.

Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
My mother has been my biggest inspiration because she is an immigrant from Mexico and was able to make it out of poverty and have her own business herself.
