Conversations with the Inspiring Rachel Baker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Baker.

Rachel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started getting interested in photography the summer after I graduated high school. I spent that summer watching endless youtube videos and teaching myself all about how to use my camera. It started out as a hobby and then I realized that I could make a career out of it. Over the past three and a half years, I have been continuing to learn and grow.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have been lucky to have such a supportive group of friends and family who helped me get the business started and have supported me along the way. My advice to someone starting out with photography would be to practice, practice, practice. Just take pictures of everything! The more you shoot, the better you will become at it.

What should we know about Rachel Baker Photos & Films? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I shoot photo and video of pretty much everything but my favorite things to do are weddings, seniors and births. I love documenting special moments in people’s lives and giving them photos or a video that will be able to look back on for many years to come. I am so lucky that my clients welcome me into their lives to be a part of so many special moments.
