Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Kiehne.
Linda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
A passion for real estate, helping people and entrepreneurship has always been a part of my life. Originally from Wisconsin, my professional career started when I relocated to Phoenix to take a position as a Computer Science (CS) engineer at Intel Corporation. While wearing many hats at Intel – from developing and implementing software to benchmarking for Intel’s IT operations – I spent much of my personal time and expenses investing in real estate.
Over 22-years, my portfolio grew to own multiple investments and personal properties throughout Phoenix and Flagstaff. Thus, when I began to search for a way out of the corporate world, real estate seemed to be a natural progression.
I am now the sole proprietor of my real estate business. Spending my time helping others buy and sell their homes and properties has truly been a joy in my life.
If I am not helping a client close a deal, you can find me spending my time with my husband of 26 years, cycling, traveling abroad, or assistant coaching the NPA (Northland Preparatory Academy) High School mountain bike team.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
“Nothing worth having comes easy.” Theodore Roosevelt said it right. Life has its many ups and downs, but when you are faced with challenge and uncertainty it is most important to remember your worth. If you don’t like your situation, you can change it. Stay focused on what you can control and don’t let others limit you. Find mentors, capitalize on your passions and strive to grow. With persistence and an open mind, you will achieve your goals and find happiness.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
As an associate broker working for RE/MAX Peak Properties, I spend my time helping clients buy and sell homes, investment properties, and vacation rentals. Most of my clients come as referrals, which I am most proud of as my reputation to be an honest, knowledgeable and hardworking real estate agent is most important to me. With all my clients, I strive to be a lifelong resource far beyond the initial transaction.
I truly care that each and every one of my clients achieves the best possible outcome for their unique situation, and I believe this is what sets me apart from others.
It would be great to hear about any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve used and would recommend to others.
Continuous learning and self-growth is a big part of my life; I enjoy listening to The Brian Buffini Show, which explores the “mindsets, motivation and methodologies of success.” I also seek out life and industry coaches whenever possible.
