Conversations with the Inspiring Lacy Hodges

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lacy Hodges.

Lacy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my online business journey in the Fall of 2015 where I was introduced to the online world of Virtual Assistants and Online Coaches. I didn’t have a clue what I was getting myself into when I stepped into the social media part of this world, more specifically the Facebook group world of online business owners.

Owning a business was not new to me as I had owned and sold previous businesses in the past but what I found as an online entrepreneur and business owner doesn’t even start to compare to the struggles I encountered and overcame in my previous businesses.

I stepped into this world looking for some Virtual Assistant clients to help create a second income source for myself, my husband and our four children. We had just sold our previous business and made a big move halfway across the country back to AZ to help my dad when he got sick but the struggle financially started to really hit hard when my husband was put out of work after an old back injury from his time in the Army flared up again and put him on leave and then out of work.

Money became very tight and we started to quickly fall behind financially so I went back to work full time and looked for side work as a Virtual Assistant online for online entrepreneurs.

Entering this world as a Virtual Assistant opened my eyes to all sorts of things I didn’t know even existed with business, social media, content creation, digital marketing, sales, coaching programs, and MINDSET!

The more I learned and the more I grew as a Virtual Assitant the more I wanted to grow bigger and actually create an income that I could support my family on and live the lifestyle we all desire, starting with getting ourselves out of debt. I had capped off my income as a Virtual Assistant and wasn’t able to see the growth unless I brought on my own team of Virtual Assistance which I was not ready to do or able to do financially so I decided I wanted to take a leap into that next level of the online business world and go from assisting other business owners in growing their business through back end support and start inspiring, teaching and empowering other women just like myself in starting and growing their own online service-based businesses.

It wasn’t an easy start or transition going from a supporting role like VA (virtual assistant) into a leading role like an online business coach and strategist.

I knew exactly what I wanted to share with other women but I didn’t know how to build an online community and an audience for me to support, inspire, empower and support, especially since growing your VA community was not exactly the same strategy as growing my online coaching community. I knew I needed some help and of course, the first thought was to hire a coach but at that time, I financially could not afford to hire a coach so I decided to start a Facebook group and build an audience and community that way.

To be honest, I didn’t have a clue how to start and build an online Facebook group that was actually profitable but you know what they say… “Ask and you shall receive”. And that’s exactly what happened.

New Year’s Eve 2016, I somehow came across a promo post from a group host of a group that I forgot I was even a member of but this post from this host/coach is the exact program and offer that put me where I am today.

She was offering a $9 Facebook Group Self Study Coaching Program to show you how to start and grow your Facebook group with soulmate clients that’s actually profitable.

Sadly, I didn’t have the $9 and it was a limited-time flash sale but that didn’t stop me. I search, scrapped, and checked every online account, debit card and credit card gift card I had access to in order to find the money for this program.

With just minutes to spare, I was able to find the $9 to invest in that program and that program was the best thing that ever happened to me.

If it wasn’t for me scrapping together the $9 that night to invest I may not be where I am now and have accomplished all the things or worked with all the different types of female entrepreneurs I have to this day.

Since that day, everything has changed.

I went from scraping together $9 in 2016 to invest in a self-study coaching program to making $5k within 30 days. had the opportunity to sign and work with hundreds of women build their own coaching businesses, pay in full clients, going from $2k private coaching packages to selling out $19k private coaching packages and creating and launching tons of programs and building an audience of quality leads organically online while keeping my audience size where I can personally connect and support each and every one of the women who are leveling up their businesses every single day.

Never in a million years would I have thought it was possible to scrape together $9 in 2016 and now making 5 figures consistently doing what I love doing with the women I love doing it with every single day.

All of this while managing and maintaining a household with five children from the age of 17 all the way to 3 yrs. old and an amazing husband that supports and adores me even after 15 years of marriage. (Yes! I started my journey with four children but in March of 2017, my niece was placed with us by AZ Child and Family Services at the age of 15 months who we later adopted in August 2018 and is now almost 4 years old. Lol.)

Has it been a smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road. No matter how long have been doing this each time I level up my business comes a whole new set of struggles and challenges.

My advice to female entrepreneurs starting out is always do it your way. If it’s hard it’s not right… for you! Yes, there will be challenges and obstacles as you level yourself and business up on your journey where you want to be and there will always be that fear of failure but failure is going to happen so why not fail doing business your way rather than fail doing business someone else’s way.

Focus on your mindset and your gut as both of these are exactly what you will need to consistently attract more soulmate clients, make more money and get more results in your business no matter where you are in your journey.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am an online business coach and strategist for female entrepreneurs w/online service-based businesses.

I specialize in results by teaching other women the importance of mastering their mindset, mastering their content creation and mastering online selling by showing up and taking action every day to attract their soulmate clients by simply just being themselves.

Attracting the right clients is the only way you can hit those financial milestones- $5k, $10k, $15K and $20k or more months of sales and cash flow.

I am most known for my NO BS Approach. I have the best relationships with my community and my clients but they know when they hire me or follow me on social media I am not going to coddle them or enable the excuses. You can’t deposit excuse but you can deposit checks and the only way to make bank is to use those excuse as a driving force to take action and do the work you need to do each day so you can get the results you are working so hard for.

I am most proud of the presence and brand I have been able to maintain as an authentic version of myself. What you see is what you get… Full Transparency.

What sets me apart is the way I prefer to keep my audience small, offer various packages, programs and offers at all different price points while all success has been by organic growth not paid ads or other types of paid resource other than my coaching investments.
