Conversations with the Inspiring Jennifer Nielson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Nielson.

Jennifer, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
About ten years ago, I found myself in a very dark place. I’d lost my dear father unexpectedly, my house was in foreclosure, I had suffered through three devastating miscarriages, my marriage was strained, I was dealing with my daughter’s chronic health condition (Marfan’s Syndrome) and I was struggling to process the delayed memories of sexual abuse I experienced as a child. There were moments I wanted to close my eyes & not wake up. I was drowning. Slowly, I went from drowning to treading water. It was definitely an upgrade but I still felt stuck & I didn’t know how to get unstuck.

This took me on a very long journey that has lead to me where I am now! Along the way, I figured out how to glow from the inside out! I found real passion, peace, joy, freedom & connection. Now, I am living my most radiant life & want to show others how to do the same.

Has it been a smooth road?
If you could hear me right now I am literally laughing out loud. To say that it has not been smooth would be an understatement. Awakening, healing & digging into the innermost parts of your soul is not easy. I liken it to planting flowers in the hard clay dirt we have here in Arizona. You have to get your hands dirty, pull the weeds & prepare the soil before you can plant the flowers. It definitely gets worse before it gets better. For me, it took some time of really getting my “hands dirty” before I saw the fruits of my labor. There were times I wanted to quit but the fighter in me kept pushing forward. Just recently, I was part of a trial that put my abuser away for 402 years. It took over five years from the time & pressed charges until he was convicted. It was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done. I faced resistance, attacks on my character, loss of relationships and it also took a toll on me physically, emotionally and spiritually but I would do it all again to protect other children, including my own. It was a powerful reminder that I am courageous and that I can do hard things and I would say that this is the same for all of you that are reading this. My advice for other women, young & old, DON’T QUIT & don’t settle. Listen to your soul. The time & investment you put into yourself will be the best thing you can do for you and your loved ones. Peace, hope, purpose & joy are awaiting you if you are willing to leave your baggage behind and design your radiant life.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Let it Glow story. Tell us more about it.
I love what I do! I developed Let it Glow to help women glow from the inside out. The idea is to LET GO of limiting beliefs, thoughts, judgments, and stories that are holding you back. As you LET IT GO, you are free to love yourself. Loving yourself allows you to LET IT GLOW and be a light to others. I help women do this through one on one coaching, energetic healing, my podcast, workshops and retreats where I teach the Let it Glow Method. I use a trifecta approach combining psychology, spiritual & energetic tools. Most programs cover just one of the three areas (psychology, spiritual or energetics) but it takes all three to get successful, lasting results. I have trained in Behavior Kinesiology, Energy Master and have seen amazing results in my own life and in the lives of those that I work with. I know the Let it Glow Method works because it has been tried and tested by me and I have also seen miraculous transformations in my clients. I know what it’s like to feel lost & hopeless but now I am not just surviving, I am thriving. Helping other women find this same freedom & passion in life is an honor & a privilege. Truly, the most incredible experience I have had with Let it Glow is the retreat I held in France last summer. I combined my passion for travel, music, meaningful relationships & higher learning into one unparalleled experience. We stayed in a 13th-century chateau, went on a hot air balloon ride over rivers & castles, we ate delicious French cuisine, went on bike & boat rides — it was magical. The 25 attendees explored a beautiful destination, new friendships & profound self-discovery on this journey of a lifetime. In all that I do I call women to leave their baggage behind & design a radiant life.

Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
My Aunt Suzie took me under her wings at a very young age. I came from a family of 10 so to have this special attention & kindness shown to be helped mold the woman that I am today. She made me feel important, worthy & loved. She is one of the first family members I shared my experiences with sexual abuse with as an adult because I had carried that feeling of safety that I had with her as a child into adulthood. My Aunt Suzie is a strong, loving, funny & nurturing women. Often, people say I remind them of her & I always take it as a compliment. Other women that I have inspired me are those who have overcome great obstacles & heartaches & used that to help lift others. One that comes to mind is Elizabeth Smart, she is a light and an advocate to so many.
