Conversations with the Inspiring Evelynn Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evelynn Jones.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Evelynn. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m an Intuitive Empowerment Coach Burlesque Performer, and Podcast host. I’m also I am a Copywriter for Branded Media, a marketing agency that creates iconic brands. I host The Tasty Talks Spiritual Podcast where sensuality and spirituality are the topics of conversation. I perform burlesque as Juniper Jade and have performed with Birthday Suit Burlesque and Spellbound Burlesque in Phoenix, AZ.

I moved here last spring with just $60. I relocated with some goals. First, to focus on birthing my Sales and Marketing Consulting business. Second, design my performance and spiritual arts brands. And third, to heal from the past and let go of what no longer serves me.

My story originates in San Diego, CA. I was born and raised there and deeply adore my city. But I felt stuck in a rut there.

I got dreadfully sick with the flu in March 2018 and was absent from work for two weeks. Because I missed work, I couldn’t afford to pay rent the following month. I had to move out after moving around about 8 times before that! On top of that, I broke up with my fiance in 2017 and was still healing from that pain. Not only did our relationship end but some friendships did as well. It was a tough time for me! After much contemplating and moving around throughout 2017, I was finally en route to Phoenix the following year.

Before 2017, I lived my life in “survival mode” as one therapist called it. I existed that way from ages 15 to my late 20s because of my mother’s death. I never fully grieved. I unwillingly grew up quicker than anticipated, so the blinders went up and I pressed on.

What inspired and propelled me out of survival mode is my spiritual journey. The empowering journey started as personal development to combat depression. But then, I felt like there was something significantly deep-rooted that I needed to handle. My spiritual journey commenced in San Diego and I continue to heal and free myself from past traumas.

Now that I’m vigorously thriving instead of merely surviving, I feel the urge to lead others as a Spiritual Guide & Influencer. I encourage people to blossom into and fearlessly live their authentic lives. I inspire people by shattering my emotional traumas and then sharing about my maturity.

I also intuitively consult on sales and marketing strategies for businesses. And as a soulful performer, I seek to tantalize, entertain, and influence empowerment.

My purpose is to cultivate a sense of intuition, spirituality, trust, and openness in all aspects of life. I do this for myself and then share wisdom on the freedom I gain from my practice with others.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road to success has not been an easy one to walk down. The best piece of advice I can give to other women is to trust yourself. Enrich yourself with confidence and love yourself unconditionally. Even the parts you don’t like. Start with acceptance and gratitude. Many of the paths I’ve taken resulted in a lack of faith in my intuition and prowess, so I speak from experience.

Know that right now you are exactly where you need to be. You are beautiful and worthy of love!

What should we know about Evelynn Jones Consulting, The Light of Zen, and Juniper Jade Burlesque? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
What sets me apart from other consultants, mystics, and performers is a true balance. For one, I’m an empath. I can sense other people’s emotions. My empathy and sensitivity are balanced with logic and reasoning. I’m a nerd, so I appreciate data, facts, science, process, and concrete knowledge. I’m the best of both worlds – a unicorn. My guidance and consulting approach is very honest and authentic. I leave clients with hope, clarity, and peace with every consultation.

Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
The remarkably meaningful piece of advice I can give to young women starting their careers is to stay true to yourself. If a job isn’t for you, leave or don’t take it. Of course, have an exit strategy or some form of a plan B, but don’t stick with something that doesn’t light you up.

Also, speak your mind. Don’t let the confines of corporations or external influences like coworkers, friends, and family stifle your voice. You have a right to express yourself and are here on earth to do so. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. If they do, cut them off and keep it moving.
