Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Alvarado.
Christina, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was a stay at home mother with a passion for cooking. I had a little spare time, so I thought to take some cake classes offered at Michaels Craft store. After the first class, I knew I would be able to accomplish the learning process on my own. Somehow, I managed to master the science that goes into baking. From mousses to freshly made preserves and all the wonderful desserts made from scratch was like a natural addiction that kept me aiming for more. About 12 years later, I have come a long way and still conquering the art and beauty that goes into my work.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth road? Absolutely, not… it’s a real struggle to learn your craft in baking. You have to be ready to fight your way through… some people may think its all about sprinkles and glitter behind closed doors, just apply yourself as intently as you can and you will overcome those challenges and obstacles.
what should we know about Sweet Creations by Christina? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am Owner/Baker/Cake Decorator of 12 years specializing in custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, chocolate, sugar art, and fresh filling all made from scratch. I’m proud of being able to put a smile on every child’s face at a birthday party or being requested to be part of someone’s wedding day, baby shower, and all special occasions. I believe my creativity is limitless and work hard to fulfill any request that comes my way. I take pride in my passion for creativity and find it rewarding after a job is complete.
