Conversations with the Inspiring Brittany Loose and Molly Sivadon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Loose and Molly Sivadon.

Brittany and Molly, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
We are a sister duo that basically has been doing everything together since middle school! We started after high school by attending Cosmetology school together and then we went off to Hollywood to attend makeup school. After graduating with our makeup certification, we both started working in salons, Molly doing makeup and Britt doing hair. We took a few years off after each getting married and having kids and Britt moved around with her husband who is in the Air Force. The military brought Britt back to the Phoenix area and once again we were back together with five little ones (now 6) between us and feeling like we wanted a business that we could slowly grow while still being home to be moms. We started with an organic skincare line and on a whim of needing items to decorate our booth for the shows we were doing, we bought a bag of wood flowers from a company we had heard about. We had no idea that that one bag of flowers would turn into thousands of bags and lead us to what we do today!

Has it been a smooth road?
Our journey to where we are today hasn’t been the prettiest! Let’s just say being working moms, plus working from home, definitely holds its challenges and has us questioning our sanity some days! LOL! We still have two of Molly’s kiddos at home, though one is headed off to kindergarten in the fall and the baby just turned 1, so he will be our only sidekick for a while.

Growing a business isn’t easy no matter who you are and holds it’s own daily challenges. In today’s social media world, we have both struggled with putting down the phones and focusing on our families. We both have amazing husband’s who most likely thought we were insane at times and questioned what we were doing, but they have always been there to do whatever we have needed and pick up the slack when we had to choose work over family.

The only advice we have is don’t stop. It won’t always be pretty, there will be tears, but if you want it bad enough you can figure out a way to make it all work. You may start off thinking you are going in one direction and life laughs in your face and completely turns you around the other way. Just go with it! And if there is someone in your life telling you to quit, use that as fuel and show them they are wrong. We have had plenty of people in our lives questioning what we are doing, but nothing fuels us more than the desire to prove someone wrong!! Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help! That was a hard one for us, needing to feel like we could handle it all, but that will get you nowhere in this crazy life!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Rose & Bee Organics story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in providing forever flowers for weddings! We use primarily wood flowers but have started to mix in premium silks when needed to achieve our bride’s vision. Wood flowers are a fairly new concept here in the United States and we love that we get to create something gorgeous for our brides that they can keep forever. Flowers are an expensive part of the wedding day and how amazing would it be to not have to just throw them all in the trash at the end of the celebration.

Molly is our bouquet specialist! Her talent is truly like no other and her skills are only getting better as time goes on. Our goal is to provide forever flowers that look just as amazing as real flowers and have people not even knowing they are fake.

Britt is the communications specialist and does most of the smaller items, like boutonnieres and corsages. 85-90 percent of the time, when you communicate with us, it is Britt who you are talking to.

What sets us apart? We both would 100% guarantee that our customer service and our dedication to each bride is what sets us apart. When you hire us to be your florist, we make you a priority and make sure that what you are receiving on your wedding day is exactly what you envisioned. Our brides receive photos throughout the process as well as photos before their flowers are either shipped out to them, or we arrange pickup. Our number one is making sure that our brides love our creations and we won’t stop until we know you love your order.

Our sister gave us this slogan today and it couldn’t be more fitting for what we do… “Rose & Bee… breathing life into an industry that only dies.” LOL!!!

What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
Generally speaking, we would agree that females have a lot of pressure on them to prove they can do it all. Be an amazing mom, wife, and employee or employer and if you can’t do it all perfect every day, then you are failing. We definitely struggle with this and the “mom guilt” occasionally gets the best of us, but we quickly remind ourselves why we are doing what we are doing and one day our children will appreciate the struggle!
