Hi Tony, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Reflecting on my life story, I am reminded of the journey that has shaped me into who I am today. From the early years of innocence and wonder to the trials and triumphs of adulthood, each chapter has played a pivotal role in defining my identity and purpose.

The decision to share my story arises from a deep-seated belief in the power of vulnerability and authenticity. Through the highs and lows, triumphs and setbacks, I’ve realized that our stories have the potential to inspire, connect, and heal. By opening up about my experiences, I aim to offer solace to those grappling with their struggles and foster camaraderie in a seemingly isolated world.

In the early years of my life, I was born into a loving Italian family that provided a strong foundation for my upbringing. Growing up, I was surrounded by the warmth of my parents and the support of my sister, creating a sense of security and belonging that shaped my worldview. My childhood was filled with endless adventures and explorations. From building forts in the basement to embarking on imaginary quests in the woods with friends, I reveled in the joy of discovery and creativity.

These early experiences laid the groundwork for my curiosity, setting me on a path of lifelong learning. As I journeyed through my schooling years, I encountered various challenges that tested me. My mind was filled with possibilities, making it extremely hard to focus. All I could think about was the world outside of school and how badly I wanted to be in it. The early years of my life were a tapestry of experiences that shaped my identity and set the stage for the adventures ahead. They instilled a sense of wonder and resilience to guide me through the twists and turns of adolescence and adulthood.

Adolescence is a time of immense change and self-discovery. It’s a period when we understand ourselves better and explore the world with fresh eyes. This phase was a rollercoaster of emotions, dreams, and challenges. As a teenager, I had dreams and ambitions that many friends did not share. I always felt different from those around me; I spent hours daydreaming about the future and imagining all the possibilities ahead. It was a time of great excitement and uncertainty as I navigated the complexities of growing up and finding my place in the world.

One of the most defining experiences of my adolescence was my first effort to start a landscaping business. My family took much pride in caring for, maintaining, and improving the things we had. One of my duties as a son was to keep to the landscaping of our home while my father worked hard to provide for us. I began to love it in a way I struggled to express. This led me to learn to work on the equipment, and I became obsessed with tinkering and taking things apart. I needed to know how things work and the fun of reassembly. The thought of offering my services to neighbors began as a fun project, printing flyers and delivering them individually to neighbors ‘ mailboxes.

One phone call received led to another and another. Soon, I had multiple lawns to cut, and the time management lesson for me began, and oh, how I loved it. Adolescence was a time of growth and self-discovery for me. It was a period marked by highs and lows, triumphs and setbacks, all of which shaped me. Reflecting on those formative years, I am grateful for the lessons I learned and the person I have become.

As I entered adulthood, I found myself on a mission; I was deadset on what path to take and confident in what the future held for me. The journey ahead was filled with challenges, uncertainties, and opportunities for growth and transformation. My love for fixing and working with my hands led me to pursue being an Automotive Repair technician. In my childhood, my friends and I would ride our ATVs for hours in the woods, which to this day is one of my most loved hobbies.

The knowledge I gained working on motorcycles carried over into vehicles once I began driving. My first vehicle was a Volkswagen Jetta, where I started learning all the ins and outs of it. I loved this car and loved the engineering that went into these vehicles. In time, I knew that I would become a Volkswagen repair technician.

Navigating the professional world was daunting, but I was determined to carve out a successful career for myself. There is a Volkswagen dealership in Scottsdale, Arizona, owned by Penske Automotive Group, with which I fell in love. It was clean and large and appeared to have the most professional setting I had ever seen in an automotive repair center. I stopped by this dealer almost daily inquiring about a job or anything to get my foot in the door.

Eventually, they had an opening for a weekend lot attendant position. I took on various roles and responsibilities, learning valuable skills and gaining experience. Through hard work and perseverance, I gradually climbed the corporate ladder, achieving milestones I once only dreamed of. Each new challenge presented an opportunity for personal growth and development, shaping me into the professional I am today.

Life through its fair share of curveballs, testing my resilience and strength in ways I never imagined. From financial setbacks to health crises, each obstacle seemed impossible at first. However, with the support of loved ones and a determined and stubborn spirit, I faced these challenges head-on, emerging stronger and more determined than ever. From a young age, I’ve always focused on reaching my goals to a fault. This focus almost shielded me from the struggles and obstacles during hard times. All I could think was, “Keep going.” Through perseverance and a positive mindset, I overcame adversity and celebrated triumphs that were all the sweeter because of the struggles that preceded them.

After almost 15 years working for the same company, I made the entrepreneurial leap and opened my first automotive business. For years after, I had many successes within this business at a very high level and many failures, which helped me learn exactly who I was, what I was made of, and ultimately, what kind of life I truly wanted. Ambition and focus closed my eyes to what I was truly meant to do; I had become so focused on building this high-end business that I constantly felt sadness and lost sight of the little boy within me who loved working with his hands.

The decision to move on from that industry and return to my roots in property maintenance was scary but necessary. Once again, I want to invest in myself and my happiness by doing what I have loved to do since I was young. My primary focus is working on and growing my property maintenance business and continuing my fitness journey. At 39 years old, strength and fitness have become my needed lifestyle and a way to build my mind as much as my body.

Now, stepping back from the automotive business I had built, I felt clarity in what was truly important. Building and nurturing relationships became increasingly important to me. I’ve forged meaningful connections with friends and loved ones, cherishing moments of laughter, love, and shared experiences. As I reflect on my journey through adulthood, I am struck by the transformations that have taken place within me. I have grown in ways I never thought possible, overcoming obstacles, embracing opportunities, and finding strength in adversity.

The lessons learned and experiences gained have shaped me into the person I am today, ready to face whatever challenges the future may hold with courage and resilience. Reflecting on my life’s journey, I am deeply grateful for my past experiences. From the early years of innocence and wonder to the turbulent teenage years filled with self-discovery and heartbreaks, and finally, the challenges and triumphs of adulthood, each phase has contributed to my growth and evolution.

Through the ups and downs, the twists and turns, I have learned valuable lessons about resilience, perseverance, and the importance of staying true to oneself. My life story is a tapestry woven with joy, sorrow, success, and failure – each thread adds richness and depth to the overall narrative. As I look ahead to the future, I am excited to continue writing new chapters, embracing new adventures, and facing new challenges with courage and determination. I am grateful for the love and support of my family and friends, who have been my pillars of strength throughout this journey.

In conclusion, my story is still unfolding, with many more chapters waiting to be written. I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way and the lessons I have learned along the path. I am hopeful for the future and ready to embrace whatever lies ahead with an open heart and a resilient spirit.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Going after our goals and dreams is an incredible journey, but it’s hardly ever a smooth road. We often encounter various challenges that put our determination and resolve to the test. Personally, health, economy, and relationships were some of the struggles I faced on my path here. However, the one struggle that caught me off guard was the impact on me mentally.

As I mentioned earlier, I worked tirelessly for years, completely focused on reaching the goals I set for myself. As time went by, I began to slow down and check in with myself. I had always felt confident in the direction I was headed and the decisions I made. I never once questioned my choices; I always kept my eye on the prize. But as I achieved more and more, I began to feel increasingly isolated. Living a life that is genuine to you is incredibly important, and it’s amazing how your body tells you this even when your mind doesn’t listen.

When I reached the peak of my success, I felt lonelier than ever. It was a time for me to reevaluate my priorities, and I realized I needed to make changes. I’m still on my journey, but grateful for what I’ve learned. I’ve come to understand that it’s okay to take a step back, to slow down, and to appreciate the journey. Life is an adventure, and it’s important to enjoy every moment of it. Finding your purpose is a game-changer.

It’s amazing how fulfilling life can be when you invest in something that feeds your soul. For me, hitting the reset button and doing what’s best for me has been my biggest accomplishment.
