Hi Tammy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Tammy Feltner has spent more 30+ years shaping the beauty industry. She began her journey behind the chair as a hairstylist and grew into a Salon and Spa Owner. Her natural talent for connection, creativity, and leadership quickly set her apart. Her passion for education led her to become the Regional Education Director for TIGI for the Central and East States and Latin America,, where she spent over 25 years training stylists, developing educational programs, and helping beauty professionals grow both technically and personally.

But Tammy’s path didn’t stop at the salon. After years of mentoring stylists through the highs and lows of their careers, she recognized a deeper calling—to support others in aligning their inner and outer worlds. That realization sparked her transition into coaching. Now a certified Life, Wellness, and Career Coach, Tammy blends her extensive industry experience with transformational tools to help women and beauty professionals reconnect with themselves, prevent burnout, and step into a life and career that reflects their highest potential.

Tammy holds certifications in a variety of healing and coaching modalities, including Strategic Intervention Coaching through Robbins-Madanes Training, Health & Wellness Coaching through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Natural Energy Healing Modalities, and a 200HR Yoga Teacher Training from Modern Yoga. These diverse tools allow her to work holistically—supporting mind, body, and spirit transformation for lasting change.

Through one-on-one coaching, ‘The Intentional Woman’ Signature Program, and Men & Women’s retreats, Tammy empowers others to not only succeed in their careers—but to thrive in their lives.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not all of the time—it’s been very challenging for me at times. In 2018, I was unexpectedly pulled away from my passion of doing hair and the career I had poured my heart into for decades. I was diagnosed with two bulging discs, bone spurs, and arthritis in my neck. The pain was so severe I couldn’t do hair anymore. I could barely lift my arms to drive, wash my own hair, or carry out basic daily tasks. It was devastating.

Years of working behind the chair, not prioritizing my body, and also dealing with symptoms of Breast Implant Illness had caught up with me. I had no choice but to take a step back and begin the long journey of healing. It was one of the darkest times of my life. I felt lost, disconnected, and heartbroken. I cried a lot while spending many nights alone, processing what was happening and slowly learning how to let go of the identity I had tied so tightly to my career.

At the same time, I made the decision to remove my breast implants and began learning how to heal naturally—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It took years of deep work to realign my body and repair the damage I had done. But through that pain, I found more purpose. I realized I could take everything I had learned—not only from my career in the beauty industry but from my own healing journey—and use it to help others transform their lives too.

That chapter was an invitation for me to rewrite my story to renew myself and completely reinvent my career path. It was a powerful awakening that led me to align my life from intentions and the work I do now. Looking back, I can see that the breakdowns I experienced have become the greatest breakthroughs, not just for me, but for all the lives I positively impact now through my coaching practice..
