Community Highlights: Meet Sadira Davis of StarLamb LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sadira Davis.

Sadira Davis

Hi Sadira, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
If we’re starting from the beginning, I often tell those I mentor that I thought I was an angel as a child because I had a supernatural sense of things coupled with wisdom and insights above my age and academic knowledge. I was always compelled to use those gifts and insights to help people, so an angel seemed like the most appropriate title in those tender years. Of course, growing up into adulthood, I gained a greater sense of self and life purpose and realized that my life was meant to be a change agent, positively affecting those who crossed my path in life. Technically, I do work for God, but not as the angel I once imagined in my immature understanding. However, to date, I have been using my special set of skills as a life coach, mentor, author, preacher, and general human rights and justice advocate for over 2 decades. Last year, I was inspired and privileged to launch a women’s empowerment magazine, “The Sanity Source,” to bridge the gap and strengthen women who often tend to neglect themselves while giving their whole lives to raising children, supporting spouses and elder parents and/or battling for their righteous placement in business arenas.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth road? What’s that? Being an outspoken, strong-willed, unintimidated woman in our world definitely makes for bumps in the road. Many of the same challenges that I have mentored women through, I’ve had to walk through myself. I’ve been single, married, and divorced. I’ve been a single parent. I’ve gone back to school as an adult while raising children. I’ve been overlooked for leadership roles, jobs, and even ministry opportunities because I’m a woman. I’ve had to find my “divine” path and find the courage to walk in it unashamedly, and I’ve experienced my share of low self-esteem and weight struggles. In some sense, I feel like “I’m every woman” as sung in the 1978 Chaka Khan song.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
StarLamb LLC is a corporate umbrella company that oversees my coaching company, Full Potential EMMP, my publishing company, StarLamb Press, and my non-profit, Sadira Davis Ministries. My businesses are rooted in building and supporting people towards becoming their best selves. So many people are gifted and talented, yet they need the tools to understand and navigate the usage of those gifts; they often lie dormant and underused. My thrust is to motivate and activate them into action with the right tools (skills) to “shine in all the glory” that God designed for them. So, to answer, “What am I known for?” I’m known for loving people to life and building people into the best version of themselves they’ve ever known.

What sets me apart from others is that I do not use a “cookie cutter” method. My life love and spiritual coaching and mentorship programs are uniquely crafted for each client and mentee. I work with the “master’s plan” for their lives and cultivate what’s there. What am I most proud of brand-wise? My consistency in how I love people unconditionally no matter where they’ve been in life, their failures or weaknesses, or whatever traumas or incidents that caused them to be where they were when they started with me. I have created and work in a non-judgmental, love-saturated zone that becomes irresistible to my clients/mentees.

Please talk to us about happiness and what makes you happy.
Oh, that’s easy. What makes me happy is helping people. I wholeheartedly love two things: God and People. Seeing people blossom into a version of themselves that they often never saw as imaginable gives me so much joy and happiness. It’s similar to someone’s love for gardening, playing a sport, or any number of things people love. These things operate under a universal principle of seedtime and harvest. You invest, put in the work, and then with love, practice, dedication, and cultivation, you end up with a phenomenal and fruitful reaping: a harvest of, most often, more than you ever bargained for.
