Community Highlights: Meet Rob Hill of Merestone Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rob Hill.

Hi Rob, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
Merestone is a family business. My father was a still photographer in Hollywood, working on several feature films. He began building sets and props for corporate events, and that started catching on. As we began to grow, I got involved, and with my degree in Industrial Technology at ASU, I wanted to do the Audio Visual side of things. We grew even larger doing corporate meetings and events, themed events, and pop-up experiences and continue to lead the industry today.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Time zones and logistics can be a struggle. Having clients nationally and internationally can stress deadlines and turnaround times and make the production window shorter than we would like. I am very proud of how we’ve structured our departments so that there is effective communication between everyone involved to maintain a seamless workflow.
