Community Highlights: Meet Rana Sabra of Positive Creative Minds

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rana Sabra.

Hi Rana, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Hello, I’m Rana. A transformative success coach and founder, mother, and university professor dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs to start, grow and scale their dream businesses.

As a business advisor, I channel nearly 20 years of real-world marketing experience, the latest in data-driven business theory, and timeless creativity to coach my clients on how to produce sustainable, profitable results.

It all began with a billboard. I’m often asked, “Why are you so obsessed with marketing?” Since the age of thirteen, I have daydreamed about billboard designers’ creative processes. What was the motivation behind a slogan, graphic, and campaign? How effective was it? One could say, I was a marketing enthusiast before I even knew what marketing was.

In my family, business was not a favorable major for women. When I chose a career in marketing, my parents pictured me selling gadgets door to door from a suitcase. Imagine their shock! I wouldn’t be dissuaded; I knew I could translate my natural proclivity for marketing into a career. That’s exactly what I did…

I earned a Doctorate in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Consumer Decision-making Behavior from Grenoble Ecole de Management, a world-renowned European business school in France.
In 2019, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business offered jointly by Columbia Business School and MIT Sloan.

I have worked with myriad industries globally, including higher education, NGOs, microfinancing, health and beauty, franchising, advertising/media, food and beverage, and hospitality. I moved to Arizona in 2010 after falling in love with my husband. When I first got here, I had to start over and worked with small businesses as a marketing consultant and eventually launched my agency Positive Creative Minds.

Since that day, I have launched several events in the valley supporting women entrepreneurs and moms including Branding Bootcamp, Authentic Branding & Marketing, Vision Board Part, and Bond with HER, among other philanthropy events.

For the past eight years, I have been an adjunct faculty at the MBA program at GCU in Arizona and at LU in Lebanon. Three years ago, I expanded my business to share years of global marketing success and proven strategies and empower women, and entrepreneurs, through coaching programs.

2021 has brought us to a new level, as we launched the first Branding Bootcamp. It was a huge success where 40 women from different backgrounds and business levels came together to learn, collaborate and grow.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
For the first couple of years I had to focus on building a network and knowing the people in the market, in marketing, your biggest asset is your network.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work with women entrepreneurs through 3 types of programs: One-on-one coaching, group coaching, and events.

As an entrepreneurship strategist, my work is dedicated to helping women rewrite their success stories. She has ideas and passion. I have experience and expertise. Together, we will build her confidence and illuminate how to transform her dream into a flourishing business.

You can have it all. I can have it all. The modern woman can have it all. Like a buzzword, we all say it. But do we believe it’s possible? I believe it. The women in my programs believe it after they learn how society’s definition of “having it all” is – well, all wrong.

Having it all is about finding and fulfilling your own purpose. It’s determining and dictating your own version of success that may not align at all with the world’s definition. It’s being ridiculously happy – on your terms.

I believe you can, should, and will have it all. That begins with developing confidence and backing it with a plan to move toward your dreams. I love that marketing consists of both creative freedom and fixed numbers. I’ve never met a brand or industry that didn’t interest me. I think globally, act locally, and invest wholeheartedly in my clients’ success.

What my clients get: Tenacity, ingenuity, and an inherent passion for all things marketing are the foundation of my own success and – most importantly – the success of my clients. By enrolling in my coaching programs, women get the tools and step-by-step guidance to start, grow or scale their businesses.

The Team: We are a woman-owned, all-women team. The team’s enthusiasm for marketing is matched only by our know-how. We love nothing more than digging into a new business idea, brand, or industry and developing a strategy customized for the best potential outcome.

We believe in creativity over comfort. We believe in connection over clickbait. We believe in measuring success by results.

Any big plans?
In the summer of 2022, we will launch the Podcast that will dig deep into our guest’s unique success strategies for business development and growth, marketing, entrepreneurship, and the ultimate holy grail – having it all!

In 2023, we will launch the first Women Entrepreneurs Global Summit which will be a transformative experience. The speakers, topics, and setup of the 2-days event will focus on both strategy and mindset.

The event will be held in Scottsdale in March 2023.
