Community Highlights: Meet Oscar Ramirez Jr of Rambo 121

Today we’d like to introduce you to Oscar Ramirez Jr.

Hi Oscar, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always believed in hard work, faith, and taking care of my family—those values are the foundation of everything I’ve built. I started Rambo 121 with just $5,000, a box truck, and a dream the week of my wedding. Most people thought I was crazy, but I knew I had to do something bigger for my family.

Before launching the business, I spent years working as a mechanic. I graduated from UTI in Avondale with certifications in diesel, industrial, and auto. That experience taught me discipline, precision, and the importance of doing things right the first time. I brought that same mindset into the moving industry—treat every move like it’s your own home.

Rambo 121 isn’t just a business. It’s named after my wife and kids—Rebecca, Axle, Maddie, Brayli, and me, Oscar. “121” represents the birth months of our children. Every job we take on represents our family’s name, and we take that seriously. That’s why we don’t cut corners. We show up with trained professionals who know how to move with care, confidence, and respect.

Now five years in, we’ve built a reputation as one of the most trusted moving and junk removal companies in Arizona. We’ve expanded our reach, won multiple awards, and created jobs for great people who want more than just a paycheck. This company is my way of building a future—not just for my family, but for every customer and team member we impact. We’re not just helping people move—we’re helping them move forward in life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has definitely not been smooth. Starting a business with a family to support, no backup plan, and barely enough cash to buy my first truck was a huge gamble. There were times when I didn’t know how I was going to pay my team—or even my own bills. I’ve worked 18-hour days, dealt with breakdowns, cancellations, and even people who tried to take advantage of us.

But I never quit. Every setback just made me hungrier. I learned how to stretch every dollar, how to build systems, how to lead, and most of all—how to stay focused on the bigger vision. Even now, we still face challenges with rising costs, competition, and balancing growth with quality. But the difference is, now I have a team, a mission, and a track record that keeps us pushing forward.

As you know, we’re big fans of Rambo 121. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Rambo 121 is more than a moving company—we’re a movement. Built from the ground up with grit, family, and faith, we specialize in full-service residential and commercial moves, long-distance relocations, junk removal, and short-term storage. What sets us apart is our obsession with delivering a fan-worthy experience, not just a service.

We’re known across Arizona for being fast, dependable, and professional, but what really makes us different is our mission: to change the standard of what it means to be a mover. Our crew trains through our own Titan Training Academy. We hire leaders—not just laborers. We show up ready to treat every job like it’s our own home.

The name “Rambo 121” comes from my family—Rebecca, Axle, Maddie, Brayli, and myself, Oscar—and the birth months of our three kids. We’re a family-run powerhouse on a mission to become the most trusted name in moving and junk removal in the Southwest. And with every job, we prove why we’re not just another moving company… we’re the one.

What are your plans for the future?
At Rambo 121, we’re focused on building something bigger than just a moving company—we’re building a movement. Our future plans include expanding operations across Arizona and purchasing our own warehouse right here in the West Valley. This will allow us to handle more long-distance moves and offer secure, convenient storage solutions for our customers—bringing more business and job opportunities out west where they belong.

We continue to invest in our team through hands-on training and leadership development, ensuring every Rambo 121 mover delivers the highest level of care and professionalism. As we grow, we’re keeping our standards high and our roots strong—always leading with faith, family, and relentless drive.
