Community Highlights: Meet Myra San Agustin Ruperto of Zero Point Mortgage

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myra San Agustin Ruperto. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Myra has been helping her mortgage clients achieve their dreams of homeownership and refinance goals for over 15 years. Myra began her career in the San Francisco Bay Area where she learned to navigate the complex and challenging business of mortgage lending.

Myra is a Sr. Loan Officer located in AZ and is licensed in multiple states, under the leadership of the President of Zero Point Mortgage, Gino Martinez. She has won the Circle of Excellence award for her company after just 1 year.

Myra believes in supporting and empowering other like-minded women in order to help them achieve more success. She is excited to continue to build a team of Loan Officers locally and in other states. On a personal note, she loves to spend time with her family, husband, 3 kids, and their yorkie, Milo.

Myra enjoys traveling and has traveled with her family to many places in the world. Myra loves to give back to local and worldwide charity organizations. An organization that is dear to her heart is the Samaritan’s Purse-Operation Christmas Child, which she organizes an annual community donation drive.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There are constant challenges in both lives and in business individually. But as a mom of 3 kids (ages 15, 12, and 6), balancing work and life is the greatest challenge. I take pride in being able to attend every recital, cheer competition, volleyball game, and basketball game – while still committing to a high standard of service to my clients and referral partners.

I am fortunate to have a very supportive family who values not only my roles as a wife and mother – but also as a wife and mother who is an entrepreneur. I am just as intentional about dedicating time to family as I am to my business which sometimes means working while on vacation or stepping out to take a call during family time.

Our team of loan processors also plays a huge role in allowing me to maintain the balance. The road is never smooth but my support system allows me to navigate through it in a way I couldn’t without them.

As both a female and minority in this industry, I take pride in pursuing all opportunities with great belief. I believe there is strong importance in showing others who look like me or are in similar positions as me – that it is all possible with the right clarity and intentions.

I am grateful and blessed to be in this position. I aspire to inspire like-minded women (mompreneurs) to go after their dreams and to remember that victory comes from finding opportunities in challenges.

What were you like growing up?
The first few years of my life were in the Philippines where I was born.

I don’t remember much of that life. We migrated to the US in the ’80s. Growing up in the suburbs of San Jose, California was an adventure. I grew up as your typical suburban girl, who loved sports, TV, movies, music, dancing, loved listening to all music genres and boy bands!  I loved hanging out with friends and going to the mall and dances. If you can believe… I was in a dance crew!

My mother was an entrepreneur and found herself diving into different business ventures. That’s where I get my drive and hustle from. My siblings and I had to help run the family business. Most of my teenage years were spent running some sort of new business that my mom spearheaded.

I’m a lover of nature and an advocate of preserving our oceans. Love being at the beach and trying to find as much free time to soak in the salty air and listen to the crashing waves. My family and I are avid travelers, we have traveled the world and have gone on so many fun adventures. We have traveled all over the US, Europe, and Asia, but there is still so much more to see in this big beautiful world.

We love theme parks too! I love my family, my friends, and my sweet dog. I’m a people and animal lover. In terms of my interests… I have way too many interests to list. I guess you can say that I am a multifaceted individual, there’s so much that I want to see and do!  My top interest would be cooking, going on culinary adventures (I’m a foodie), traveling the world, learning about history and different cultures, hiking, working out, watching movies, spending time with my hubby and kids, participating in charitable events, and running my business.
