Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Ware. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Melissa, AKA Lyric from the bad girls club season two, was an original cast member of a television show that exploited women. She left the show early and decided to be on her mission and start a company of her own; that way, she was free to do what she wanted when she wanted. Fresh off the Plant was launched amid the crisis when baby formulas were taken off the shelf for toxic and harsh ingredients. Fresh off the Plant was created as a solution to the problems faced by mothers worldwide. My goal is not to achieve fame or be the world’s most beautiful woman. It is only to supply people with things of importance, not eyelashes or hair extensions, but food, baby formula, protein for the body, nutritional supplements, and things that will keep Humans Alive. My goal is to extend life, alkaline the mind, & alkaline the body. That is the goal ultimately here at Fresh off the Plant.

It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Unfortunately, I cannot keep up with the demand. My products (locally) sell out, and I need investors! The only issue I’m running into is this! I need grants and finances to support this business.

Fresh off the Plant is a freeze-dried food company. Fresh off the Plant has a baby formula containing four preservative and additives-free ingredients. The company has protein powder, instant sea moss, and freeze-dried foods for sensory disorders travelers, hikers people who need food in bulk, freeze dried foods mean the food has a shelf life of 25 years so that it can be stored and shelved without spoiling. Fresh off the Plant is a unique company inspired by the owner’s grandmother, which inspired the launching product for an ingredient baby formula that contains hemp seeds, sea moss, plantains, and pitted dates. This product was launched due to all the malpractices and poisoning with baby formulas. Fresh off the Plant is a company that brings awareness to the importance of food and supplements in the community.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
I credit my grandmother, Dharamdaye Bajnauth, who inspired this business. God rest her soul. I also give credit to my biggest support, my mother, Kawattie Bajnauth. My mom gave me all the finances and supported me throughout the whole process of starting this business.
