Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariel Wilk.
Hi Mariel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was brought here to KILL YOUR FEAR in the prison of your mind… so that you can feel your true soul FREEDOM.
The day I realized I was living in a simulation, everything changed.
People talk about awakening like it’s a soft whisper—but mine cracked me open. I saw it. The lens I had been wearing wasn’t mine. It had been passed down—generations of emotional absorption, unconscious patterns, and survival conditionings disguised as “love,” “success,” and “right.”
The day I realized my mind wasn’t me—that the thoughts I was living by weren’t even mine—was the day I began to wake up. And once you see the truth, you can’t unsee it.
Once you remember who you truly are before the world told you who to be… that is the beginning. The rest is Her-story.
But let’s be real—this story is your invitation. You wouldn’t be reading this if it wasn’t already speaking to something inside of you. I’m just a mirror, reflecting what your soul has been whispering all along.
You are not your fear. You are not your programming. You are the player in the simulation—not the pawn.
There wasn’t one big traumatic moment growing up. I have a loving family. But trauma doesn’t always scream—it lives in the unseen. In the nervous systems we inherit. In the energy we absorb. In the roles we play without knowing it, and the narratives and meaning our mind creates from these experiences around us.
One of my family members was the warrior—always doing, fixing, holding it together. Another had a heart of gold but hid behind depression, anger, shame, and addiction. And the third acted out what they couldn’t process. They were the first characters in my movie—the early mirrors. They weren’t the problem. They were my soul-chosen teachers.
From their, my mind made these conditions mean:
- Control = safety
- Productivity = worth
- Self-sacrifice = love
I became the “good girl,” the overachiever, the one who didn’t need anything. I tried to earn my place by holding it all together—until I couldn’t anymore. A ticking time bomb in my mind, nothing felt enough… the identity I wore cracked.
I ended up in treatment with the label of a “disorder.” But it was never that. It was about the dis-order and chaos I experienced in my mind and so I saw this in the world around me. About trying to control what I couldn’t name. About managing a world I didn’t feel safe in.
Another simulation. Another system of control trying to fix the mind with more mind. Another classroom for awakening.
And then one day… it clicked. I HAD CREATED ALL OF IT. … Every system. Every role. Every trigger. My mind was the projector. My reality, the movie screen.
And if I could create that, I could create something new. I could create a new version of myself.
So I did the hardest thing I’ve ever done…
I released it all. To realize it all. With my real eyes.
I left teaching in the school system—a cage of chaos, programs, and conditions, like my mind. The chaos in my mind led me to a job that fed my mind projector. It was not the system to blame, it was my mind matrix to change… And that was the next awakening at play.
The questions started rising in my soul:
- Why do things have to take so long to shift?
- Why is lifelong talk therapy normalized when it still feels like a band-aid?
- What if healing isn’t about managing symptoms but freeing the root of the mind?
- What if I’m here to awaken something deeper in myself and others?
These questions became my compass. And eventually, they led me to subconscious reprogramming.
I began to unlearn the false identities. I saw beyond the illusion of control. I met the truth of who I am—light and love.
And I remembered… Life is a simulation. I am the player. I am the creator. I am free, whole, and complete.
And so are YOU.
You’re not reading this by accident. This is your reflection/mirror. You’re remembering. Your soul tapping you on the shoulder, saying:
“You’re ready for more.”
You don’t have to stay in the prison of your mind. You don’t have to keep performing roles that don’t fit you. You don’t have to keep carrying fears that were never yours.
Because that’s the thing—fear is learned. Heard. Absorbed. Taught. Programmed.
Forgetting
Everything
About
Real YOU
We only created training wheels because of a fear of falling. But imagine if that fear never existed in the first place.
A child without training wheels—who was never taught to fear falling—would learn to ride faster. They might fall, sure. But they’d get up, learn, and be off to the races.
Meanwhile, the child with training wheels may still be standing there, wondering if they can do it without them—because they were taught to fear the fall.
The only difference between those two?
Their minds around fear. One never learned to fear it. The other was conditioned to.
And we see this in nature too. Animals in the wild don’t fear the way we do. They don’t overthink. They trust instinct, move with presence, and live as whole, regulated beings—well-beings.
We’re the only species that gets stuck in imaginary loops of “what if.” But fear is just a story the mind tells. And stories can be rewritten.
Let this be the activation. The flicker of lightness in the darkness. Your ves-SOUL is here to open.
You’re not here to control. You’re here to FLOW. Not to fear. But to be FREE and have FAITH.
You are the Player.
You are the Author-ity.
You are I-MAGIC-nation.
You are a Celebration—CELL-vibration.
You are the Light.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all—and that’s exactly what led me to this bigger-than-me soul work.
I spent years living in survival mode: overthinking, people-pleasing, and trying to control every outcome. I was “doing the work,” but still stuck. I was spiritual, aware, and high-functioning—but still exhausted, anxious, and disconnected from my power.
That’s when I discovered that mindfulness work (what I also taught in schools) alone did not cut it—or at least it did not for me.
The problem wasn’t me—it was my subconscious programming. And I didn’t just need to think differently. I needed to move and choose differently. Away from fear into my fullness.
Fear, worry, anxiety, doubt, judgment, perfectionism, trauma, and control patterns started to dissolve—not because I forced them out, but because I finally reached the part of me that was running the show. I started trusting my inner whispHER.
We’ve been impressed with Shift Your Sh!t With Mariel, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I help humans who are ready to kill their fear stopping them from living the reality they desire in life and business. This is the method I call Shift Your Sh!t—a blend of subconscious mind reprogramming, nervous system work, and somatics if desired.
We unlock the root patterns, in your mind matrix, keeping you in your addiction to fear, stress, trauma, worry, or control.
I created this from feeling like traditional talk therapy was a bandaid for me. I asked for a better way to serve myself and others. This was my calling. It’s about deep, fast shifts at the subconscious level.
My clients don’t just feel better. They become different. The version they always wanted to be—FREE.
You can’t be a new version of you if the reels of your past are living in your mind.
That is where my work stands out and gets to the root of things you can’t see.
They move differently, speak differently, and make decisions from power, not programming.
This work isn’t surface-level. It’s not mindset hacks or affirmations. It’s subconscious recalibration, pulling out the weeds not just clipping them.
If you’re ready to shift your Sh!t, not just talk about it or keep repeating your past, this is the work. Kill Your Fear.
I help people shift their shit, get over their fears that are killing them in business and in life.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
I used to struggle with meditation. I avoided it. Resisted it. Ran from the stillness.
Dance was my meditation. Movement was my release. Expression was how I could finally breathe.
And here’s what I’ve learned: Everything can be a meditation—movement, music, breath, even chaos—if you’re present.
But eventually, I realized… Stillness with your thoughts is where the real freedom begins.
To sit with your mind. To witness the stories. That’s where the shift starts.
To hear what music (frequencies) have been playing on the radio station of your mind. Not to silence your thoughts. But to see them clearly. To notice the voice of lack. The programming. The loops.
To meet your triggers—not with judgment, but curiosity.
Because wherever you’re triggered? That’s exactly where you’re not free.
Start there. Respond with “pause what a pleasure.”
Not by fixing. By observing. Getting conscious and aware of your awakening and what is ready to be released.
And remember: The power is not in your mind. It’s in YOU.
You are the awareness.
You are consciousness.
You are the one who gets to choose a new story.
Your Mind Is The Projector, Your Reality Is The Movie Screen.
You Get To Be The Director.
