Community Highlights: Meet Lindsey Ricketts of Lindsey Lee Creative

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Ricketts.

Hi Lindsey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I may be a social media manager and content creator now, but that’s not where I started. It actually took me a while to figure out what I was really passionate about. I began my career as a nurse (I know, completely different from what I do now). After realizing I wanted to take a new direction, I went back to school and earned my bachelor’s degree in marketing. Not long after, I moved from my home state to Arizona for a full-time marketing job.

That role gave me a solid foundation. I learned a lot, made lifelong friends, and officially got my marketing career started. But even then, I felt like I hadn’t quite found my thing. I’ve always loved social media. Not just scrolling for fun, but the way it can connect people, build community, and help brands grow in a real and meaningful way. That’s when I decided to start Lindsey Lee Creative.

I love that I get to mix creativity with data, try new ideas, and help bring a brand’s personality to life online. Now, I focus on helping businesses build a presence that feels true to who they are and resonates with the people they want to reach.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Making a big career change wasn’t always easy. I got a lot of questions from people wondering why I was making the switch, and at times it felt discouraging that it took me so long to figure out what I really love to do. On top of that, social media is a competitive space, so I had to learn how to stand out and trust my own path. Learning to trust myself and my strengths has made all the difference in staying motivated and moving forward.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in all things organic social media. I offer full-service social media management where I build a custom strategy, come onsite to create content, and handle everything from posting and captions to hashtags and research. I also offer one-time content shoots, which are perfect for events or for businesses that don’t want to worry about creating content themselves. Over time, I’ve learned that every brand’s needs are different, so I’ve shaped my services to meet clients where they’re at. That might mean coaching them through how to create their own content, building a strategy they can run with, or managing everything so they can fully step back.

What sets me apart is that I focus on building a personal brand alongside my work. I want people to know who I am and what it’s like to work with me. Relationships are a big part of what I do, and I truly care about the success of every business I work with. My goal is to be more than a service provider. I want to be a real creative partner.

How do you think about happiness?
Oh man… where to start! Honestly, I’m happiest when I have a good mix of fun, connection, and chill time. I have two mini schnauzers that I absolutely love. We go to the dog park every day, and they make everything more fun.

I’m really close with my family, too. Even though I’ve moved away, we still talk all the time, and they’ve come out to visit!

I love spending time with friends, going on walks (when it’s not too hot), and checking out events or networking meetups. But I’m also super happy staying in with a good book, TV show, or podcast.
